I'm an Aussie living in New Zealand. I find the New Zealanders do not have the same sense of humour and take things a lot more personally ie. get hurt more easily. Depends on where a person lived in Australia of course, and the same here. I found people in Wellington absolutely fantastic - which is where we moved to first. But in Christchurch I found them very unfriendly - that's just my experience at the time. Aucklanders are friendly and outgoing. I think the men in New Zealand make better husbands - Australian men seem to still think "the wife" has to do all the house hold chores, cooking etc whereas NZ men will pitch in and help. Once again, that's just from my, and my familiy's experience.

Well I am an ex kiwi living in Aussie and have done so since I was only 9 years old, so I now class myself as an Aussie since most of my schooling was done here in Oz. I agree with what you say.

I'm an Australian, I like both. The rivalry between the countries is a natural phenomena caused by us being neighbours. To a degree that carries over into the views of the individuals. Both countries are fiercely competitive in sport, and it would seem in nearly everything else too ! I personally don't subscribe to any of that.

I've met both Australians and NZ's that are lovely people, and I've met people from both who are A**holes too. I'm more concerned with individuals than generalisations.

They are good blokes! My mate in Australia is a Kiwi from the North Island, And he'd rather do you a good turn than a bad one! Have a great day!

Totally, mate! I agree with you. However, Kiwis are a reserved lot as compared to Aussies.

Only difference is that Kiwis are a bunch of hopeless chokers. The only world championship they hold at the moment is for blindfold texting.

Both are ok.
Australians have kangaroo's as pets and the kiwi's have sheep as pets (3.5 Million of them.)
