I wouldn't say that it hurts more to pierce through scar tissue, but from a piercer's point of view, going through scar tissue hurts us worse, lol, that is if we're not using a needle driver. Odds are, if it wasn't pierced too deep the first time your piercer can pierce slightly behind the scar tissue. If they do go through the scar tissue, everyone I've "redone" has said that it felt about the same as originally being pierced. Everyone receives pain differently though, so something to always remember when asking questions like this is that what it feels like to on person, may not be true for you and 500,000 others. From my personal experience of having had my belly button pierced 3 different times ,it doesn't hurt, but thats only how it feels to me, which in my opinion the first time nor the last 2 times hurt, but my pain tolerance is also sky high when it comes to piercings, tattoos, and scarification (the last 2 through scar tissue....I take it out in the summer to tube, and think that I won't want it back, and a year later I'm doing it again).

Hey, Taylor D, I have a ear pierced. But that's as far as it goes
Do not mess with scar tissue. It could lead to a number of problems. Check with someone who would be in the know.
Wish you well,bro.

I shouldn't have a stomach button. When I first met my boyfriend I informed him I din't have one and he requested if I was once an alien. I informed him yeah however truthfully I had gastric skip surgical procedure and that's why I shouldn't have one. And I do not omit it in any respect.

one of my friends said it doesn't hurt as much as what you would think it would, but i guess people just deal with needles in different ways.
and you know what the pain is like and know what to expect.
and if they get it exactly where it was done before you shouldn't really feel it at all!

I pierced my friends belly button with professional needles. she almost threw up on my head... i think a professional piercer would be slightly less painful
