if you are friends for so long something keep you friends.that same thing could be good in a relationship.before you backoff thinkk about your friendshipand then if you still want to back off just tell him you are not ready to go where he wants to go

Well I would say if friendship came first then you should be honest with them, as the friendship bit should see you through.
That is one way of looking at it BUT what makes you think they are wrong for you?
Is your brain working on gaining someone really close or is it working on loosing a friend ? this may sound a bit norse but my wife and I have always been the best of friends as well as the other bits ha ha.
Lets face it if you don't try then you will never know.
But if you don't want to then go for a drink both paying for your rounds so there is no lead and tell them pref before it starts to get worse. Take care.

ride it out it will eventually burn out!!!sex is the best way to end a friendship...after sex its kinda hard to keep a friend in your friends list . there is 2 categories (that im aware of). 1 friendship. 2 friends with benefits. after you have sex you cant be friends anymore it just doesnt work!!! Just tell him you only want to be friends (with benefits) not a couple. sex is great but relationships based on sex just dont last!!! i hope you are an adult or this info wont work for you due to the fact that you are not mature enough to understand this situation. good luck

Why is he wrong for you? Friends and make the best couples because they know each other so well. Give it a try and see what happens you have nothing to lose.

Is he wrong for you because of what other people say? Then don't worry about that. Is he wrong because he has character flaws, like he dates too many people at once? Then stop thinking about him and stay away from him.
