green tea doesn't help you lose weight. It's just packed with antioxidants. Which helps with your immune system, and a tad with metabolism. You can drink it cold or hot. Just as long it's not those Nestea/Lipton, etc bottle crap. That stuff is just as bad as drinking soda. You can also try green tea with mint. Helps aid in digestion.

Ok to the poster below me talking about running. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. She might as well be starving herself. All, all that cardio does on an empty stomach is cause your body to eat at the muscles for energy. Which in return causes muscle loss. Your body will use the muscle long before it uses that fat for energy. Muscle burns fat/calories constantly. Whereas running/cardio only burns calories while you're doing, and you have to hit a certian heart rate for a certain period of time for it to even do anything. Whereas if you get a good lifting routine with tad or nil cardio added to it, it would do you body much better. There are a tons more benefits to lifting weights than there is to forced cardio.
Weight lifting:
Cardio
Burns fat during and AFTER the work out
Builds muscle which makes your body look fit and tight- not skinny and flabby like tons of cardio and no lifting.
The muscle also uses more energy even at rest, which inturn means for more calories and fat burned, even at rest, which means you get to eat more and still lose weight
Helps with bone density
Strength
etc etc etc etc

Your diet is 80% of your results. If your diet is crap, no matter what you do, it isn't going to really help. You need to eat to lose weight. 5-6 small healthy protein/carb/healthy fat packed meals a day. No less than 1500 calories a day. 1500 being a min if you aren't doing any sort of physical activity. If you're "working out" eat more.
CARDIO IS NOT THE ONLY FAT BURNING THING THERE IS. MUSCLE IS FAT BURNING. CARDIO BURNS MUSCLE. Cardio if done at all should not be done for more than 30 minutes at max two times a week. Unless you're a bodybuilder preping for a comp, or a high endurance athlete there is no reason to be doing ALL THAT CARDIO.
Geez people. Read some.

running in the morning is the best way to loose weight, before you eat breakfast. Drinking gree tea is very healthy, but i highly doubt 99 percent it will cut no more than a couple pounds. RUN then RUN then RUN some more. 20 minutes min. thats just breaking primary stored energy. you gotta go past that to get your extra fat. don't eat fried foods or sugar. THIS IS WHERE GREEN TEA HELPS. green tea cleans your digestive system, which removes some fats from fried foods, etc. Anyways hot tea is better. if you are dieting, don't eat. eat 2 meals a day. if you get hungry, take a nap or drink a lot of water. you really don't need to eat for more than 3 days. if you are severly obese go see a doctor, they can help you by far the most.

You can drink it both hot and cold. I like Trader Joe's instant green tea, comes in a jar and you mix it with hot or cold water.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

Hot because it your body can digest it easier. Plus hot green tea is usually more natural. Hot green tea also relaxes the body, so you can focus on what your workout plan is.

Green tea or, more accurately, the polyphenols in green tea, appear to activate our bodies' "thermogenic activity," promoting the use of calories as energy and thus may assist our "fat-fighting" efforts. These all-important polyphenols in green tea also appear to help produce "natural viral killer" immune cells, which scavenge and fight off bacteria and flush out toxins, which basically means it may protect our bodies from the free radicals that damage cells and weaken our immune systems.

If you are going to buy green tea, buy Tetley's all natural green tea, it tastes the strongest, and it is the strongest. (in my opinion).

Hot is better. I once read somewhere, there are relations between cold/ice and human weight or so. Make sure to prepare it yourself, not buy an instant, canned, or bottled one.

I've been buying and drinking green tea fore weight loss, even in the summer my trainer told me to drink it hot and it really worked for me, so i'll have to say that it's better to drink it hot.
