There is also "esprit d'équipe" in French, which would be translated as "team spirit".

"Esprit de corps", to me, would refer more to secular social/professional cliques/bodies and the rules of fraternity that govern them. (it doesn't relate to illegal organizations, more to well-established bodies)

See for instance, how the military dedicate themselves to the various military entities they belong to. "team spirit" sounds more shallow to me.
