Men and women: Do you prefer a certain haircolor of the opposite sex, and why?

I used to like blondes. Now I like brunettes. But hey as long as he HAS HAIR not bald that is - that's a bonus already. Now, stop being picky, it ain't important cause 20 years down the road they all go grey or bald.
I change my hair color all the time and I'm still liked by pretty much the same guys.

DISCLAIMER: Below is my opinion only. While there are exceptions to every "rule," this answer is based on my honest experience. It's kind of like a bell curve: the trend is there, but there is a lot of overlap.

I have always preferred dark-haired brunettes and redheads.

In my experience, hair color is the physical trait that best corresponds to personality. At the risk of sounding offensive, blonde jokes don't exist without reason. Also, there's only so much optimism I can take. While I'm sure there must be depth to their personalities, they tend to be so obsessed with the surface that I rarely get to see the person below that surface.

Redheads may have an explosive temper by reputation, but that same explosiveness carries with it a certain adventurousness that I appreciate. Many seem to share my enjoyment of nature, whether it be hiking, camping, or rock climbing. That adventuresome spirit also carries over into ... umm ... other areas.

Dark-haired women generally seem to have intellectual curiosity, and the accuity to match. Since I enjoy science and philosophy, I enjoy the company of women with similar interests. But this is balanced with a certain level of playfulness. Overall, this is the personality type that is my ideal match, and I have most frequently encountered it in dark brunettes.

Yes, I prefer women with dark black hair - I couldn't really say why, although I imagine it has something to do with growing up with the idea that the "ideal woman" was Audrey Hepburn.

That being said, I ended up marrying a blonde, so... :)

I prefer brunettes, mostly because of shallow reasons if i'm honest. I just generally find that i notice to me, more brunettes are attractive (both inside and out) than any other hair colour.

That's not to say others can't be attractive, but just how i find it works out for me about 80% of the time.

Redheads, I like strong women and all the redheads I've met are very strong women! Brunettes are sometimes strong and usually educated too! Blonde's are really great looking women, but after about 3 minutes of listening to them talk, they usually lose all their attraction.

Dark hair; browns, reds, and black. I don't know why but I guess it has something to do with the level of maturity which aspires from it. You know, childish ladies tend to have blond or light hair since they follow the stereotypical sexy identity while brunettes tend to be mature about they're sexuality.

speaking for myself I prefer women with Dark Brunett or black hair and the longer the better :D it's just my preference everyone has in there mind what the perfect woman or man looks like. mine just happens to have long dark hair.
