I don't have a TV in the house connected because I prefer to watch shows online...not because of religious reasons. That and my baby was watching too much TV that way because I would have it on in the background out of a habit I got from my mom and I didn't like that so I canceled my cable.

Hate to break this to you, but anyone who doesn't have a TV for religious purposes, probably won't have a computer, not to mention one connected to the internet for the same reasons they don't have a TV.

Do you really think anyone who got rid of their computer for religious reasons would be sitting at the computer, especially on Yahoo Answers?

I guess you really need to ask all the Amish folks on Yahoo Answers about that one....

Any one who objects to TV for religious reasons is very likely objecting to these machines and this whole concept, as well as about half the posts giving them a hissy fit.

The only religions that I know of that wouldn't have a tv would be the Amish and the Mennonites, those are the only one's I know of.

If you do not have a television for religious reasons its time to ask yourself if you are in controll of your own life. Why live if your following strict orders every day?

If you just dont care for it thats one thing.

If there's anyone who would reject a TV for religious reasons, you probably wouldn't find them here because they would probably also reject computers and/or the Internet.

we got rid of our tv when our one year old started recognizing name brands. he'd see the trademark and could say what it was. pepsi wal-mart verizon.

we realized it was a form of indoctrination so we only watch movies on our projector.
