It is always good to have someone to talk to. It is never too soon to talk to someone. While everyone get depressed, when you are unhappy, you need to have people that you talk to. One thing talking does is release all the stuff that is built up inside of you. That is what many therapists do, some somewhat exclusively for many sessions. They just sit back and listen to you talk, talk and talk and let you get all that is bothering you out. There are many medications that can help with depression if it is severe. There are lots of places to go where help does not cost anything. If you feel there is a crisis, you need to get plugged in. Many churches have people on staff as councilors that you can talk to. Maybe, when you post the next question, consider saying truly what is bothering you and that may be a release for you and start a discussion about what is going on, and be open to advice when you hear it that is loving and makes sence.

When you realize that it's a clinical depression and that it's not likely to go away on it's own. Depression gets deeper if it's not taken care of and dealt with. Find help as soon as you can and I wish you the best of luck.

If it's lasted for two weeks, or if you're suicidal, which you are. There's no shame to seeking help when you need it. Your boys would want you to. Please don't leave them alone in the world.
