Our actions form the basis for our spirituality.Everything created by a Supreme, All-Intelligent Creator does the actions and functions for which it has been created. Like our heart, brain, earth, sun etc do their duty as per their function. Only man has been given the choice to do what he wants. In every action he can do good or bad, go left or right. He has been free-will to choose. Every minute of our life we can experience this. When our actions
are synchronised with the nature then our mind rests in peace. When we do against our own inner conscious then
arises the problem. The spirit within us becomes assynchronous with the nature. It loses its balance and the result
can be seen. All the chaos, confusions around us is the result of such in-correct actions.
Hence the basis of our spirituality is our action which is a resultant of human thinking.

Knowledge, Awareness and Actions.

First is knowledge of the self, God and Karma. Then on the basis of knowledge next step is awareness. Action includes thoughts, words, deeds, attitudes and others. Knowlege tells you what is the right (spiritual) action and awareness makes it powerful even if the action itself may seem to be ordinary. However, I cannot perform a wrong action with a good awareness and believe it is spiritual. Nope, it does not work like this.

Spirituality is when on the basis of knowledge I perform the right actions with the right awareness.

The highest stage of spirituality is when in every thought, word and action I remember God with love and also enable others catch love in their hearts for God and knowledge about Self, God and Karma in their buddhi (intellect).
(That is to transform from buddhu into divya buddhi wala and to enable others same...:)

This is my aim.

The basis of spirituality lies in rejection of merely 'physical' existence of man and a quest to know the deeper meaning of purpose of obtaining a human birth. Seldom does man able to succeed in this quest in one lifetime, but once the journey begins on the road to spirituality it would take man to its ultimate destination over millions of lifetimes perhaps. But the important thing is to first get to the basis of spirituality and begin your blissful journey.

I think of the basis of spirituality as the desire to be involved with something outside of tangible objects.

Existense. We're spiritual beings in a physical body. Spirituality, however it's practiced by each individual, helps us to ground ourselves, maybe even give more meaning to this life we live.
I would also have to say Growth.

I correctly don't understand what you mean by basis, but it is entering into another dimension.

If you mean by the characters one should have then, that has nothing to do with it.You should have only a strong desire to know about it. With the guidance of a guru you can achieve a lot.

what is the basis of your belief in color?

personal expeirence? prove that you have had that experience, to a person born blind.

at least for me, my spirituality is part of life, based on experiences as much as the mundane world is. just much more complex and varying. the fact that you can't see it means nothing.
