Well I'm pretty fit, not fat or skinny (skinny as in bones or small muscles). I'm a freshman at college and I don't have a gf yet because I haven't pursued anyone yet. But what I have been noticing is that many girls don't always go for fit guys no more, thats not bad but I think its cool since they prefer personality and other traits. Unlike high school everyone was so shallow. I mean I see skinny or physically fit girls with guys who have bulging or round bellies, a lot of them too.

So a guy being physically fit is only a bonus right? Either way I'm still gonna try to build myself for my health.^^

Thanks for reading.

You're adorable. You even said thanks.

Anywho. I agree. A man who is sweet is my goal, but if he is sweet AND attractive then I'm a lucky woman.

Of course I'd like a handsome, hunky, muscular man, but usually those types are way to into themselves. Their personalities make their physical appearance worthless.

So just be a good guy, and you'll find a wonderful girlfriend.

Yes girls in college are far less shallow than the ones in high-school (wouldn't you know it I am in my junior year in high-school), girls in college are so because some/most of em(depending on the college) are looking for a long term relationship and buffed up jocks are just not good at anything much unless they got(by some quirk of fate) an actual personality. Best thing you can do is just be yourself, girls go for an honest guy who's not afraid to be himself, just chill and she will find you(I doubt that the girls around you haven't already noticed you so just be yourself).

I think it boils down to ones own body image. I don't think that it's they are unattracted to physically fit men, maybe it's because they are intimidated.

Most women I know say they wouldn't date a man that dresses better than them. I would associate that same idea with physical fitness.

If a man's physical fitness surpasses their own, then maybe they'd feel bad about their own body and feel compelled to keep up.

How important is physical fitness to a guy. What if the girl let herself go a little, would he be less attracted?

Besides, every person's perception of handsome is different.

For instance, I think bulging meat market muscles are just WRONG. Blech.

Honestly, being fit not a bonus, it's a must. I mean, a little bit extra here and there is OK, or a little thin is OK too (I actually like that). Fitness is associated with being healthy. My instincts tell me to go for a healthy guy. I'm over 30 BTW. I don't realy like huge muscles. They look a bit scary.

i'm with a nerd. he's no longer very tall and he's VERY skinny, and specific likes 'nerdy' issues and doesnt conceal it. He gets regarded at each and every of the time, i think of he's not any doubt one among the main tasty adult adult males i've got ever seen. possibly as human beings become older they recover from it or by some means i in basic terms stumbled on the hottie interior the nerds haha.

I Agree with you because some ladies that they not to looking for the men when it come a physical aspects and I they looking for about their attitudes and an emotional feelings and the most important that they loving to each other than if they really want a muscular body or being an attractive or having an appealing because they want to having an attention with the ladies and aside to love and to show it to respect and caring to each other than the physical aspects

It depends every girl is different. personally i prefer physically fit because it is good to be healthy and it just makes you better looking/more attractive. but I'm sure some girls aren't looking for a bulging belly in a guy but they just happen to like a guy who has one, and since they like him so much the belly doesn't seem to matter anymore. good luck with your future/life in college! =)

Bit of muscle is nice.......
Don't like gym junkies.

Hey who wants a good looking guy with no personality at all?
No one wants a guy that has an ego problem and that is so into himself and thinks he is IT!

Or a guy that does not know how to respect women.

Or a guy that you cant have a decent conversation with - or doesn't make you laugh at all.

In my opinion, physically doesn't really matter as long as u have the emotional and psychological balance... u have to be able to have a decent conversation with, and be able to be there and be sweet, and be the great funny guy that sweeps any gurl off her feet... looks dont matter as long as u have something to bring to the table....

you're right...girls dont always go for guys who are physically fit and buffed...they prefer guys who will be honest and true to them...who will treat them right and make them happy...the good looks are just an added bonus...but nothing wrong about trying to look good too...not only for the girls but for your own self esteem...good luck...
