Sometimes political correctness can create positive change to make certain things that were once acceptable taboo. Its good that we cant just openly bash people of diff races, religions and beliefs as people once use to openly do.
But lets face it, it goes way too far sometimes and many many times PC talk is used by special interest groups to control a specific issue and gain more power and influence. People like Jesse Jackson have no problem pointing out when a white guy is being a "racist" by using a term that 5 black guys just used the day before. He isnt doing this to make the country better. He is doing it to get in the media and keep his supporters angry so they continue to support him. When it comes to religion, nowadays, it seems you cant dare criticize Islam or a muslim without being called a racist, but you can bash Christianity all you want. McCains mother and Al Sharpton openly bashed on Romney because he was a mormon and where exactly was the outrage? You make a valid point that islamic leaders dont take a hard enough stance against terrorism and every muslim leader gets the media attention to condemn the statement.
It is all about the media attention and the control of the issue.
When people sincerly seem to want to put aside certain phrases and language because its damaging to our society then I will listen to them. My niece has a mental disability and I am glad now that people cant go around throwing the term retarded out there whenever and whereever they want. But when people are blatantly using PC as a way to control the population and manipulate an issue then they just need to shut up and be exposed for the frauds they are.

Political Correctness is the world's way. It does not support my beliefs, I am in rebellion against them. I don't need Political Correctness to understand that it's important not to offend someone who cannot help the way they are, and to treat people with common decency and respect.
Sometimes Political Correctness seems to be a false Gospel. Where it attempts to get everyone to think the same way with the idea, 'It would be better if everyone did it this way." Ironically, laws would have to be made to enforce this ' Common Thinking', and punish people who did not observe it. It would therefore be the government who would have to control people to think and say what the government wanted them to - freedom of speech would go into the toilet then. I think that many of the Politically Correct who see that as being 'fine'. Political Correctness then seems to be another attempt at Fascism.

Just the opposite. It praises the criminal and criminalizes the victim. It's lies and double speak. Just like the politicians, hence the name, political correctness. We need to purge PC from our language and thoughts. It is even making it into our laws. Our country started going down hill with the advent of PC.

The government does not support any of us at this point so why does it matter if "PC" talk supports our beliefs if the government will not acknowledge or support them.
Goddess Bless.
Blessed Be.

its a shame in reality this country has strayed sooo far from God ,, traditions of the past even though soooo much more knowledge is available today are so much held in higher regard then the truth as its found in JESUS. WHY are traditions that ministers and theologians make up are not challenged by ,what says the bible about this?. sorry , it seems to me America is headed down the same road Israel did by setting aside the laws of god but hold to their traditions . Matthew 15 is just a small example , Believe it , or not!
