Why would my bf say "Dont mess with my feelings" to his ex?

I've been with him for about 3 months. He broke up with her for me. They were together for 3 weeks. They only knew each other for a month total and saw each other 3, maybe 4 times bc she lives further away. She's at that age where she thinks every bf she has, is her soul mate at the time. She still messages him and whines about her still loving him. It's getting rather old if you ask me. What's sad is that she cheated on him within the 1st week of their fling. But what I don't understand is why he said "Just do what you gotta do for your relationship or whatever.. Just try not ****** with my emotions... Cuz it sux seein u walk away." in one of the messages I found. She was trying to tell him that she's going to take a break from talking to him so that she could get over him cuz he's with me and she has a new "man" herself. And about the age difference, I have already cleared that up with him.

Oh, and I have already confronted him about it but he still didn't completely explain what he said meant...about when he told her "just dont mess with my feelings...it sucks seeing you walk away thing"

If he still has feelings for her, then why does he have "Theres nothing questionable about my love for you. Its honest, true, and pure. Forever is forever and nothing more. When i say it, I mean it. I love u H.N.D!!" as his headline on myspace where SHE can see it?
