vet check after 4 days at that time not drinking or eating . had injection and tablets.took home advised to monitor drinking notified vet drank one and a half cups of water over the day. late day 5 back to vet put on drip due to not eating, on 6th day ate small amout at vet sent home on tablets twice a day. was brighter. had small amount of food that evening. Day 7 back to not eating at all . advice appreciated

you should try to feed it a different brand of food. i use to give my dog pedagree but he just stop eating for like three days so i bought him gravy train now and he started eating again. and i have tried to give him different kind but he only eats gravy train. you should try it.

If the vet did not run a complete diagnostic on at least the 2nd visit, it's time to seek a second opinion.
Pick some skin up on the dog's back and let go. Does it IMMEDIATELY go back to its original shape or is there a delay in going down or it forms a small lump that gradually flattens out? If so, your dog is very dehydrated... a medical emergency that needs immediate treatment. See the link below for more info.
I'm not going to list the possibilities of what the problem may be... tests need to be run and aggressive treatment began. Just get your dog to another vet TODAY.

What was the injection? What were the tablets? What dose? How often? Did the vet perform X-rays?

"Had injection and tablets" - that's a bit vague. What was given to him? And what did the vet say? I would definitely go back to the vet.
