(sqrt(7*7))*3+3 = 24

Step by step this looks like this:

sqrt(7*7) = sqrt49 = 7
7*3 = 21
21+3 = 24

Edit in response to Jenny (below):

When you do maths you follow a simple rule: BODMAS which gives you the order of operations.

So, you do Brackets first, Orders (square roots / powers), Divide / Multiple, followed by Addition / Subtraction.

This means bracketing the *3 as she states is superfluous, because the +3 is done last.

Also her brackets don't match which means she'd have an error and thus mistake number two in her erroneous correction of my correct answer.

So, Jenny with what she calls a "high" IQ would have marked me wrong, but most likely have failed basic maths at school.

The closest I can get is 7 x 3=21 -3= 18+7=25

ceil(7.73) * 3 = 24
Ceiling is a function that returns the next greater integer.
Messy but correct.

In octal (radix 8):
7 +7 + 3 + 3 = 24

.... so one answer i saw was a good idea and actually kinda like my answer with one big mistake......

he wrote:

(sqrt(7*7))*3+3

but the way i learned math his answer would actually be
(sqrt(7*7) * (3+3)
7 * 6
= 42

so just to be over correct pput it this way:

((sqrt(7*7) *3) + 3

that does equal 24....
guess i am lucky i have a IQ of 127 :P
i guess i had to say that after somone had to mention his IQ...

anyway this is just logical thinking.... and a high IQ might not really help out..... my IQ doesnt really help at all....when it comes to real life...

but i hope your riddle is solved and if not and the answer is diffrent please let me know

7x3=21 (+) 7divided by 3= 2.3 = 21+2.3= 23.3 is the closest I can come but I know its a trick question.
