My best friend, who is Christian, has explained that after these folks die, they'll be "introduced" to the idea of a Christian God and given another chance to "accept" him.

why are you on here? really? why do people come on here thinking they are making a statement and fails terribly.
For one, this question is over used. For two, no man even Christians knows where others are going ( heaven hell) We are not God obviously nor do we have to right to tell someone they are going to hell. And since God hasn't been proven yet, who are you to say He false or not. Have black holes been proven? Can you see them? Have aliens been proven? Can you see them? what about ghost? People haven't proved any of those things but yet they would say they exist because they just believe in it. So much for the "false God" accusation. when we live in a world of no proof but yet believe.
I can't tell you what happens to those who has never heard of Jesus but according to his word, he is a merciful God and only judges you for what you know and not what you don't know. It's people like such who choses to see by sight and not faith that he judges truly.
and tell me somone who hasn't heard of Jesus? he is the most controversial dude probably in history.

Any who have already died will be given another opportunity. Jesus spoke of a resurrection of both the righteous (those who know God) and the unrighteous (those who do not).
Additionally, it was prophesied that the "good news" would be proclaimed in the entire inhabited earth prior to the end. Giving ALL the opportunity to come to know the truth.
Also, God reads the heart. He does not judge solely based on a persons knowledge or actions - but what they WOULD do with the right circumstances and right opportunity.

My outlook is, why would people from other religions want to accept jesus? This is where religious freedom comes into play. If I have a non-christian belief structure that I am happy with, why would I allow someone to try and change me to one where greed and tyranny rule? The underlying purpose of christianity is to homogenize religion, and thereby control the masses through spiritual sheriffing. I don't even want to be a christian, I don't believe in their mythical belief structure, and I am completely happy with the one I have. This is how I explain it to those who feel compelled to cause my conversion.

I think the people that never heard the word will get a 2nd chance, but that is kind of the reason christians are supposed to spread the word.

Why do not you settle for Buddhism as being maximum appropriate? Or atheism? Or the different non-Christian point of view? not each physique sees issues the form you do. have you ever had difficulty getting 2 or greater human beings to agree on what form of pizza to reserve? Now challenge that to billions of people and throw in that that is faith we are speaking approximately, between the main vital areas of what makes a individual who they're. No 2 human beings would have precisely an analogous point of view. advantageous, there are plenty who call themselves (to illustrate) Christian, yet between Christians you may desire to be Baptist or Catholic or all people of a large number of different types. Even atheism isn't common; some atheists have faith in supernatural issues and specific even life after loss of life, yet not in the life of God. temporarily, they don't settle for Jesus because of the fact they don't see him because of the fact the Son of God as you do, merely as you do not see Buddha as being worth of worship. i comprehend you're confident you're ideal, yet that would not recommend you're, or that others are incorrect. it rather is a demanding certainty to settle for, yet there it rather is.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for, but this might be helpful.
In Islam, if you have never heard of it (like you live in the wilds or something), then you will not be sent to Hell because you didn't practice Islam. You will be judged on how good/bad you did in your life.
I agree, it is not fair to judge someone based on something he/she never heard of.

Okay who told you that other religions haven't heard of Jesus. A shite Muslim once told me that while they don't believe in Jesus the Savior, they acknowledge him as a prophet. And why do you care who believes in what? If I believe the moon is made of green cheese who are you to piss in my Wheaties.
