Or His Son who died so that man (and YOU) may not perish but have eternal life?
God created mankind and gave them free will. Unfortunately we (Adam and Eve) rebelled. God gave commanments to show us how we should live and yet we still cannot obey Him. He created sin offerings that we may be at one with Him and still, man used this as an excuse to sin and be forgiven. God sent His beloved Son to teach us how to live, Jesus walked a pefect life always putting others first, just like we should. Have you ever thought about how this would impact the entire world? Jesus gave His life, so that all those who believe in Him would have eternal life. We are required to worship Him, He loves His children and yet so frequently we ignore Him. Our earthly Fathers don't expect this. I pray you will read this and trust Him, find a spirit filled church who's emphasis is in teaching the bible and living under it's authority. They are there, if you seek you will find. God be with YOU. xx

God bless you for standing up for Him and His word! I'm tired of seeing Christians that act ashamed of what they believe.

I worship God every day. I pray many times daily and always make sure I thank him for all the wonderful blessings He has given me, and for the gift of Jesus so that I can be forgiven.

God be with you too...I'll get a thumbs down or two from all the good ol' athiests that like to lurk around here. But I will still stand up for God because I know He is real and that Jesus died for me!

How sad that you, as a Christian, have been taught that you have to obey the 10 commandments. How sad that you believe that we are REQUIRED to worship Him,
Jesus taught the law. we now live under the New Covenant.
There is no such thing as a spirit filled church, this is a human originated expression and not mentioned in the bible. The Holy Spirit lives in individuals not churches.
We do not have to worship in churches, that is the icing on the cake. Our lives are worship to God and bring glory to Him. If Christians packed the streets and started befriending the lost with as much vigor as they cram into churches to do their bit on a sunday morning the world would change. But as you can clearly see the love of most HAS grown cold.

What is it that you don't understand about atheists?

I have always been an atheist. OK, that is not completely true. I am not an atheist. I am not a believer. I am not an agnostic. I am none of these because the answer to god's existence is unimportant.

People ask what would convince me that there is a god. I'm not sure, but certainly open to any tangible evidence. I don't know what evidence would convince me because I believe (I don't know) it is impossible to prove the existence of god. I might believe perhaps if Jesus returned, turned some stones into bread and wine to feed thousands. What evidence would convince you that god does not exist? See? It's hard to answer that question!

Please don't quote me bible passages as evidence of god's existence. Remember, this is my standard of proof, not yours. However, if proof were provided that convinced me god exists, I would change absolutely nothing in my life or my behavior.

I ask you the counter question: If evidence were provided that convinced you god does not exist (evidence according to your standards of proof), what would you change in your life?

Would you stop evangelizing?

Would you start sinning more?

Would you stop helping those less fortunate than you?

Would you feel that life is meaningless?

People can commit good deeds and attempt to avoid causing harm to others without belief in god. I never claim that god is on the side of America when discussing politics. God does not take sides, does he?

SO...why do you believe in god? I like to live a purposeful life and certainly would not do something if there was no purpose or pleasure. So if god does not exist, what would be the point in believing? Turn that around and so assuming god exists, what's the point? How do you use that knowledge in your life? Do you use that knowledge to affect positive change in the world? Is it not possible to follow the Golden Rule, do good deeds, and affect positive change in the world without believing in god? Please don't quote John 3:16 that ONLY believers enter heaven as that sounds like belief is motivated in some selfish personal reward.

I have no vested interest in god's existence. I do not see existence of heaven or hell as a reward or punishment. If you believe in god because you want to enter the pearly gates or wish to avoid the fires of hell, that seems rather selfish. Isn't the whole purpose of religious belief so you can become a better person?

For all those thumbs down, I ask you to think about your personal motivation for believing in god.

Good works come without faith too. And those good works can be quite fruitful. But claiming that good works won't get me into heaven sounds like some of you believe that I have some motivation for performing these good works -- the hope of being rewarded with admission to heaven. Nothing could be further from the truth. That seems to be the faulty premise many Christians make about non-believers.

I don't perform mitzvahs to get into heaven. I perform mitzvahs because it is the right thing to do. I have no expectation and no desire of any reward for my good works. Why is this concept so difficult for many Christians to comprehend?

I am sure what those who believe are going to. The others will not. I am a 'don't knower' so I will be joining the latter group. Preaching at us really does not help, it makes me feel far more inclined to join the non believers because the believers are so pompous. Enjoy your faith, I really wish you all the best but please don't try to influence anyone else. I for one, have the intelligence to reach my own conclusions.

I, along with the other beautiful Pagans on here, do worship the Goddess and God every day, in everything I do. My church is everywhere I go, it has no walls, no limits, and no judgment. I'm quite happy worshiping there, every moment of every day!

Tell me what have you done, do you walk in the path of righteousness, do you put people first, do you give up what you have in means of material things, do you love your brothers and sisters no matter what country or creed they follow.

Worship is not the only thing that is important that can be done anywhere, what is important is being true to yourself and not put on an act.

Blessed Be.

That's a rather rude and patronising assumption to make.

If today is so special to you, why aren't you in church, instead of on the internet being rude to strangers?
