There are many ways that god speaks to us-people,bible,circumstances,dreams,answer to prayers and even audible voice and physical encounter for certain individual endowned with such spiritual giftings!Well i gather that you are seeking this encounter with god in "hearing Him*. From many experiences a number of people will tell you to listen to your heart-and that true ,it need pratice awareness and of course much trials and error in the begining- sounds confusing right like ,cheating yourself! Ok first you must believe that God in the bible exists(as christian, not ignoring other non christian faith also does hear from *god*) Of course a sunday service is also hearing from God - especially when the message touches your lives. In short you will know that god speaks to you and confirming those thing you have a strong thoughts/feelings or events which you are asking/wondering at times eg urge to visit a certain long lost friend or wanted to call but dont know where to search( then out of no where he/she call you or they says so glad you came , was actually looking for you! etc)See you must starts from basics answering before you can develop a sense of His presence/hand in your walk with him.Always remember this there no fix methodology with God ,You will just know .For info why the heart as the basic steps?Cos the bible says God looks into a man heart(did ever wonder that the first sign of a baby life is the creation of a pumping heart before real baby is develop?well this is just part of the answers) Lord Jesus i pray for this seeking heart to know You and bless him/her to have a listening heart, open her eyes and ears also to hear from You and grant to him/her this gifting amen.

Most of us hear God pretty well when we are very small but the world teaches us to tune Him out. It is not always easy to remember how you were telepathic with God when you were a baby, but maybe you can remember what it was like to be telepathic with your parents when you were a child.

When you were a child, did you ever run up to your front door and call into the house, without seeing your Mom or Dad, and ask if you go do a something with a friend? Do you remember how you could sense their approval or disapproval before they ever called out their answer to you? As soon as the question left your lips, you could sense if they would say yes or no. Try that with God. Start with questions that have "Yes" or "No" answers. Then test those answers. You MUST be sure that they weren't from your mind and your will. Testing is the only way you can be sure that they came from God. Over time you will be able to sense the difference between an answer from God, an answer from your wishful thinking and an answer from evil spirits that disguise themselves as good.

Eventually, you will not only be able to pick up on Yes and No answers, you will start to pick up on other things that God is trying to communicate with you. But be VERY CAUTIOUS because evil ones want to hurt you, by disguising themselves as God and trying to make you believe lies.

Some people have told me that being able to hear God is a Gift that not everyone gets. God has other ways of providing an answer. Sometimes it is as easy as reading the Bible. Sometimes the answer doesn't come right away because the answer is; "Wait for it, it's a surprise. I know how you like surprises." If we didn't like surprises, we wouldn't like rollercoasters, so we shouldn't be disappointed when our life is like a rollercoaster.

There are some really good resources that address your question. One is a Bible study called "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby and Claud King. Another is a book based on the above Bible study called "Hearing God's Voice" by Henry and Richard Blackaby. These resources go into a lot detail. But one of their main points is that we hear God and understand his will for us through prayer, the Bible, circumstances and other believers. They also talk about how to discern whether or not what we are hearing is really from God.

Lay in your bed at night and keep thanking him repititiously over and over again, For example say: "thank you God for my eyes and ears" or say:
" Praise be to The One who created me from nothing and then gave me hearing, sight and wisdom" say it untill you feel yourself fall off to sleep. And wait and see what happens. He'll either show you a sign or he'll come to you with an answer through your dreams, or he'll do both at once. If it doesn't happen the first time or two, don't give up because he's going to reward you for showing Gratitude but he's going to also test your patience and God loves those who are patient.
Thank God for as many things that your creative mind can come up with, For example: your blood type, your vagina, men, your complexion, your time of birth, honey bees, your finger nails, your legs, the sun, the moon, all the times he's rescued you from trouble.

Trust me he loves it and it attracts more Angels to you.

God has spoken via His messengers and books. If we study the holy books with some question in concepts, a real e book will provide the respond often in first interpreting. in specific cases it takes 3 readings, yet not greater. on each occasion I even have study holy Quran with a query in concepts, I continuously have been given a efficient respond from the holy e book. Many new converts, like Cat Stevens ( Yousuful Islam) converted purely because of the fact they have been given solutions to their problems. as quickly as you commence believing and praying, you get direct messages from God, that have not got any sound or perhaps words, yet you right this moment sense that it is not your concept, yet a message from the heavens. at some point i replaced into praying Tahujjud prayer in Ramadan and on an analogous time as prostrating I begged for an perception of a momin (believer). In a cut up 2nd, I have been given a rebuke from God Almighty, to develop right into a trure believer first. A Momin ( believer) is a lot greater suitable to an consumer-friendly Muslim. the version is that of a student and a pupil. God wanted me to deserve in the previous demanding the believer's perception, which in accordance to a hadis of holy prophet sees from the easy of God and spot issues as they're, (irrespective of their visual attraction). In a good way? Then trust Him. That's what He got from me and I got a response, maybe you too can become a believer.

Buy trusting Him you make peace with Him, and that's done by trusting Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that seems like a typical answer from a Christan, but it's the truth.

This is what Jesus said:
17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
( John 3 )

Sometimes when you have a question, He will remind you of something you read in the Bible pertaining to your question, or He will let someone speak to you concerning your question and they don't even know you even asked the question. And last but not least...remember when you say, "I knew I should have followed my first mind!" Well that wasn't your first mind. That was the Holy Spirit talking to you. Another way God speaks to you.

TALK to Him. Ask him questions. Throw out a "fleece," as Gideon did. He often will answer you in your mind with Bible verses. Once, I had a regular "conversation" with Him that way, and He put verse after verse in my mind, instantaneously, in response. Including some that I'd forgotten that I'd read! It was quite exciting and unusual. But if you try to communicate with Him, that might work the same way for you.

(And trust me on this -- I couldn't have made that up. It happened, just that way!)

In prayers and kept the family in its structure... such as brothers, sisters, father, mother, uncle, auntie... and other words that should be intact to its proper places. As have added in the Bible, the Holy Trinity... for its proper guidance, relationship. You'll find yourself happy and content... thereby you'll hear God.

Pray, ask, then wait for God's answer, he will answer in his own good time, not always when we want him to and we will not always get the answer we want. You have to trust in his decision and follow his instructions, he will make them clear.
