i want it to be

by january 1 2008 what kind of diet should i go on and what type of exercises should i do and btw im 5'5 and 143lbs

NO DIET, just a life style change to a healthy way of eating ......fruits and veggies, no meat or limited meat, no dairy, no fast foods, no processed foods, nothing white, nothing fried, lots of water and EXERCISE.

Go on the famous DONUT DIET. Walk to the donut store, walk home.DO NOT GET A DONUT.

Actually, I think this might be doable. Usually people want to lose some absurd amount of weight in a week! Try this....eat less, and exercise more. Neither of these in excess, of course, but just take a little less at each meal, and make it a point to do a little more exercise every day. Walk for half an hour every evening, or swim some laps every couple of days. If you have access to a stationary bike, that should help with your target areas, specifically your hips and thighs. Oh that's easy. Just run on the treadmill an hour everyday and limit your sugar and dairy products. You can do weights if you want but cardio burns the calories. I think you could lose 25 pounds if you set your mind on it.
