I rarely eat regular meals. I keep things at my office to much on and when I'm hungry I may have some crackers and a tuna spread. or an apple, some juice (I drink way to much juice) I like dried fruits, Some times I'll go to the trouble to actually make a salad. A cup of soup works. I try to keep healthy things there. Doesn't always work. Drink lots of water. After I get home, we may actually make a meal. something stir fried is wonderful lots of chopped veggies.

I have been eating following food since 1980 :
1) nun type wheat made bread with mostly fried mixed
veg at breakfast.
2) boiled rice with fish or meat and pulses at lunch time.
3) as at 2) at dinner time.
Besides, some times I eat eggs or fruits if I can afford. In between light refreshment with tea occasionally. Most of the ppl of my class in my country are used to eating similar kind of food. You wont believe that though the food is not of much food value we remain healthy through out the year. Most of us like me don't smoke or consume alcohol.

It boils down to eat when you are hungry.slowly.use very little flavorings.
Avoid salt it will be tough for a while but soon you will start to get flavor that you will like. You can substitute vinegars for flavorings.
I constantly eat raw vegetables and fruit.
chew each piece to get all the flavor.
cup of soup with one salt free cracker.
use only enough fluids to keep you hyderated different people will be different.

Since i have started this three months ago i feel great and have lost
40 pounds.

I tend to have the 3 main meals, but I have them in small portions and eat snacks in between. Fruit, nuts, yogurt, trail mix or a drink make up my choices.
