It's extremely likely. Relations between Iran and America have been awful since the Carter Administration, and its currently deteriorating.

Now, Iran has revived their nuclear program, claiming it has the right to peaceful nuclear technology. Yet at the same time, its president is making speeches where he threatens to wipe other nations (specifically Israel) off the map. Iran has also been recently accused of supplying and aiding terrorists, and insurgents in Iraq.

The 2007 Iranian seizure of Royal Navy personnel alone, nearly resulted in military intervention on the United Kingdom and United States behalf. Things are only getting worse.

War seems to be an inevitability.

If the USA does anything, it will be air strikes on Iran's nuclear assets. That is assuming Iran does not open up its facilities to inspectors and continues to ignore the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. It appears right now they are trying to play nice as they do not want to give Bush any excuse to do something before he leaves office.

I don't think the war between U.S. and Iran would be soon.

Even U.S. may have plan for war against Iran, the F15 issues do delay it.

There must be sufficient air-force. Unfortunately, F15 got its problems. Totally there are 700 F15 in service. There are less than 200 F22 for replacement now. Hundreds of F15E were forced back to sky and bombing Afghan in last few days. The remaining hundreds of F15 would be replaced by F35 soon but it would take some years.

Nevertheless, U.S. may be able to bomb Iran once in June or July 2008.

No because the US has its hands busy in numerous operations of theatre and the UN will not allow the US to invade Iran. They let them have Iraq but not this time.

No they will not. We came to the aid of Iran when Iraq declared War against them in 1982.

Israel is close and also a friendship to the U.S.

Iran wants to break away, but the Shiites and Muslims have other plans for coercing Saudi to expand their jilly's sort of speak.

Well if we did it would be about as tough for us as the Iraqui army was. Of course after we kicked their army into next week the sub-human terrorists would start in on us and like in Iraq the fit would hit the shan again.

I hope to god not. but if we are, sooner is better than later, because if we choose later, there is a chance they might have something really nasty to throw at us.

But I dont think we will, as long as someone less conservative than Bush goes in.
