I like popcorn with butter and parmesan but usually what I end up with is a bunch of parmesan at the bottom of the bowl! I've tried adding the cheese to the melted butter but it just doesn't stick! How do you get it to stay on the popcorn?

Hot popcorn. Cheese ground, not grated and at room temp. Put butter on first then sprinkle cheese, toss, more butter more cheese etc.

Popcorn made with oil should hold it okay if you put the cheese on while the popcorn is piping hot.

Hot air popcorn needs either some butter or other oil to help the cheese stick. One diet-nazi friend uses water from a "misto" sprayer; I sometimes use olive oil from my misto sprayer (I always keep one filled with olive oil for oiling skillets, etc.).

Part of the fun is that the cheese doesn't all stay on the popcorn--that's the cheese you get to eat by dipping a wet finger into it.

The secret to making a yummy but simple cheese sandwich is: Use raisin bread (we use Sunmaid brand). Lightly toast then lightly butter the slices. Add medium sharp cheddar cheese slices. Place in microwave for few seconds---just until you see the cheese softened and melting. Serve immediately and enjoy!!

Warm it up slightly (4 to 8 seconds in microwave).
Then sprinkle on popcorn; and microwave again if need be.
No butter, it will make it slide down!
