no i have my boyfriends name on my anckle...and he has mine on his nek, been 2getha 4 yrs...and still going strong

I would not. Reason if you break up your stuck with this guys name on your body for the rest of your life. Most people put there children's name on there body not there partner. If you want a tattoo make sure that you get something you really like do not settle, put it in a place that if you need to wear a formal dress this tattoo is not killing the whole dress. Have it done by a professional who you have seen his work. Give this some thought as you can not take it back after it is done.

Don't ever get any partner's name tattooed on you. BAD IDEA! I have tattoos, and luckily I have never decided to get any of my girlfriends names on me. I am very glad that I haven't because I wouldn't want to go back and try and get it covered up or try laser removal. Love can be quickly fleeting as we all know, and do you really want to have someone's name on you that is not with you anymore?? The ONLY names that I would ever even consider getting tattooed would be those of my children (when I have them). But I will NEVER get my partner's name tattooed on me.

well....a tatoo is more permanent than a marriage license....and 50% of them fail.
I'm all for true love - but maybe you should find a symbol that means something to both of you - and is therefore still romantic - so that you don't spend your life with the wrong man's name tattooed somewhere???

if you break up or get divorced like i did , then you are stuck with that persons name on you,,, think twice about it
