You don't need that little connection thingy thats in that link. Only if you have a HD Ready TV or PC Monitor. But if you don't, don't waste your money on it. The standard red, white and yellow cables work just as well. By the way HDMI cable doesn't come with a PS3.

None of the PS3's come with HDMI cables. The PS3's only come with composite cables, but I bought myself some component cables to use with my PS3.
