Go on with my life. I can't live my life for someone else.

I would ask the person who's will it is in the first place. Then I would not worry about it.There is nothing more satisfying in life than being able to make your own way in this world. If you are self sufficient, you do not have to answer to anyone. You also don't have to live by someone else's expectations. And if it turns out that you aren't cut out, then it is a pleasant, albeit unexpected, suprise when the time comes.

Entitlement to the property of another person is a sure sign of liberalism. Get a job and make your own fortune.

There is nothing you can do, unless the person is mentally incompetent. It is their money and their right to do with it what they want, even if it is being left or orphan cats and dogs.

I would say, "It's your money and you can do what you choose with it, of course. But I am your daughter/son and I love you. You raised me, and if you need my help in your older years, I will do my best."

I wouldn't get upset about not getting something that wasn't mine to begin with.
