Let's say that both are honest about each other, try to contact as often as they can, around same age group(late teens) and plan to meet face to face one day and eventually live near by each other.

Will this work?

It can totally work. I've been in one for 4 years now (although we did meet in person, i still think it can work for you though). They are really hard work. They take a lot of communication, trust and honesty and at times a bit of creativity. My bf lives in Germany and i live in US, so we dont get to see eachother very often but we make it work. Webcams are good becuase we get to see eachother online. Letters are nice cause they are more personal. My bf and i send eachother carepackages where we put things we have collected for eachother. There are a lot of things taht you and your gf can do to stay connected. As long as BOTH of you are willing to do the work that is required you are off to a good start. Email me if you have more questions Good luck :)

It depends on if your commited to making it work, others are pessimistic about it, but if you think it would work out go ahead and give it a try.

Ehhh I would say in my opinion NO! I'm not one for meeting people online. There are creeps out there...and even if you know he's not a creep you never really know them. I'd just say to watch out.
