is that still a grave situation in the Catholic Religion.

I know it's o.k. if you just went to confession and H. Communion recently and then die--all right.
But if you haven't gone to conf, or comm. for a long time years even, is it not good for the soul?

If you die without confession or holy communion, you will be dead.

Same as if you just had it minutes before you died. Still dead.

The Mass/Holy Communion/final Supper/Eucharist - it is each and every of the same difficulty. that's an "anamneses" (the flamboyant word) or memorial, and remembrance for Christ. Catholics (and others) additionally tie it into Christ's sacrifice for us, that's why they, and others have priests, no longer ministers, or pastors. it extremely is by using the upkeep of the "sacerdotal" or sacrificing function of the classic Levitical priests, even though extremely animal sacrifices are not to any extent further made. maximum, yet no longer all Protestants have it as symbolic. Denominations with Sacrements, like the Catholics, Orthodox, Anglicans, Lutherans, and others, have faith that that's "actual," that's, something actual happens. You acquire the Holy Spirit into you with the intake of the climate. Catholics have that the climate replace into the physique and blood of Christ in a literal way, others have that they convey the Holy Spirit. the two way, that's better than in basic terms symbolic.

Although I'm not catholic, I do know you read he Bible. And as far as the confession, you're suppose to confess your sins to God not man. Man can't or won't help you anyway and will hold your past over your head forever no matter how you've changed. God knows your heart and will forgive you if you want Him to. The Holy Communion is in rememberance of Jesus' blood for the redemption of our sins. The Bible says we should remember Jesus and what He has done for us. This is the reason for the Holy Communion. Now the confession to man and the communion has no effect on weather it's alright when you die. What makes the difference is commiting yourselves to fall in love with God like He fell in love with you, accepting the fact that Jesus died for your sins. Reading the Bible will tell you what God has in store for you and what He expects from you. Nine times out of ten...you'll be put in the grave anyway. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. Which means everybody is going to die and have eternal life. It's who you spend eternal life with that's the real deal. Choose now...will you spend eternal life with God or Satan?

it's not a grave situation in the Rcc, it's a grave situation for you. why have you not been receiving these gifts & graces?! they are gifts for you to help you in your walk with Christ. as Catholics we are taught we need to try to maintain a state of grace at all times. funny you mention this as a priest just spoke about it at mass this evening. look over the commandments.... have you sinned? have you stolen - items, time, a person's good name??

you realize you are int he wrong - or you wouldn't be asking - it's the "guilt factor". try to reexammine your life & see why you need to let God back in - He is knocking.

as Rcc we understand that when we die, we will stand before the judgement throne of God and our lives will be tested. this is what scripture dictates and what we call purgatory. if you get a chance, get a book called pierced by a sword. it's a fictional novel and a man stands before Christ and is judged. while it is fiction it sure does make you stop and think. maybe God's trying to get you to let Him back in.....

well hears the thing the reason jesus came to earth was to be a mediator between us and christ so that you don't have to go through anybody else so you don't have to go to a priest and then him go to god pray and talk to god yourself
