In my view there are many reasons for this condition. First, if you were raised by someone who was bitter and sour and gives you the negative perspective of life. Largely it comes from the realization of lack of control on your own life for various reasons. When people feel that others have control on their lives and they do not, they sometimes feel bitter and as a result have a sour temper and a dour face.
The best way to overcome this condition is to connect with the Lord Almighty, in my view, who is a source of all good and is all powerful and has many medicines in His bag of cures. By having a good and strong entity on "your side", many times can alleviate this feeling of helplessness that breeds bitterness and anger. At times some people have a tiff with the Almighty himself, as one of my aunts used to do, may she rest in peace. I remember as vividly as it happened yesterday that she would come to my mom and would be complaining to her about the Almighty, that He did this or that to her, through so and so...lol. My mom would calm her down and ask her to connect to Him Almighty and ask Him to alleviate her problem. Usually she came back happy with the Lord in a day or two, and be very approving of Him.
Many times people may feel jealous of a little bird that flies, and they can not. It is good to count your blessings rather than look to those who are blessed more to alleviate bitterness and a bad temper.
Sometimes this condition also happens due to harmonal imbalances generated from menopause, PMS, post partum depression etc. in females or various stresses in both men and women such as a potential sickness, job related isusues and even constipation. This though is a temporary problem and with time is corrected.
Always show kindness, understanding and love to such persons in that condition of bitterness and it reduces some of it in due time in my view.
I hope some of this makes sense to you. It may seem totally off the wall to some who may not have a spiritual dimension.

sure, my mom. She lost her eyesight, (legally blind,) on the age of 38 through histoplasmosis. no longer ordinary to think of, now that i'm fifty 4. She lost her independence with this, as she would desire to now no longer stress, or study without a definite magnifier/mild. I watched her at circumstances get so upset while the sunshine did no longer artwork nicely and he or she throw it around the room. She grew to alter into further and added based on my dad and me, no longer needing others to help her. i think we catered to her better than we could constantly have, which added approximately her no longer finding some independence in this. She did be able to learn a thank you to set the washing device/dryer, and the kitchen variety. As time went on she grew to alter into further and added bitter. She blamed my dad for many things he tried to do to help her. i think that's authentic, you're casting off your frustrations and anger out on people who're the closest to you. She became sickly maximum of her grownup existence. It went from one difficulty to a distinctive, till she died on the age of 70. now and returned i think of her unfavorable outlook on existence did no longer help her bodily. there became extremely some issues she did for the kinfolk, i do no longer say she became a undesirable individual, yet returned, she became a sort of persons that as quickly as dealt lemons extremely than make lemonade, she chosen to flow slowly into her shell and grew to alter into bitter on the subject of ways her existence became out. I want she would have regarded at issues in a distinctive way, yet you do no longer know what a individual is going via till you walk of their shoes, so with that being pronounced, i'm going to leave it on a impressive word asserting, she did care approximately her kinfolk in her very own way. She in basic terms had a wierd way of showing it. maybe if it had took place to me, i would not have been one among those joyous individual. We on no account know how tragedy will effect us while it happens.

Being hurt by other people, especially when they were Christians, and not walking right with God. It makes you not right in your spirit and testy. I know from experience.
