This will be the first Thanksgiving where all of my parents children are grown up and moved out and we are all bringing side dishes to dinner to help mom and dad out. I found this one online and let me know if it sounds like it would taste good. Thanks.

1 (12 ounce) container small curd cottage cheese

Cottage cheese in the macaroni and cheese. Ick. I am a southern gal and I like mine the southern way. I'd look for another recipe that appeals to you or you can email me and I'll share my family recipe. I've NEVER had mac and cheese with cottage cheese........ sounds ewww..

On the side though, if you make this recipe, let me know how it turns out...

The cottage cheese & sour cream sound pretty bland.
I'd use a mixture of other cheeses: Asiago, Mozzarrella, etc.

Pretty close to what I make. Only I use ricotta cheese. Defintely use sharp chedder though . Extra sharp if they have it. Don't be cheap with the parmasan either, or use Romano.
I also like a little fresh oregano when I can get it.

I'd suggest you try this one:

It uses an even wider variety of cheese than yours (mimolette gruyere, mozzarella, and emmental), and is inspired by quite a well known restuarant dish.
All the best to you.

sounds good to me, but if in doubt try it now and see if you like it Don't forget to spray the bottom of the baking dish or it will stick! Good luck!
