Jimmie: I know its been one of the most discussed issues, but I think Paul's thorn in the side was the litany of Judiazing who were harassing him viciously.

I will pray about this question Jonathan and ask God to give you guidance. I in no possible way could add to what Sister gailee has written. Blessings.

Jonathan, I believe that GOD heals all things, if only we place our faith, in Him.

My Dad, was a Minister/Pastor, and I assure you, it is NOT an easy childhood. People said and did things which really hurt me...even if they never meant too! This is normal when you are expected to be "better" than all the other children, in the church!

Therefore, I know all too well how "spiritual wounds" feel. I also know what it feels like to turn this pain over to God and let Him "heal" these wounds which are without scars! Only God can totally heal spiritual wounds, of this I am certain! I have experienced His awesome healings, of my Spirit! Thank You, Lord!

You did not say if you are "spiritually wounded," and I pray you are not. However, if you are wounded and in need of healing, I will pray for your healing. Only you and God knows what your wounds are and so, I ask the Father, in heaven, to touch your woundedness and replace it with His love, peace, joy and a newness, of your salvation. May that which was done, be made right, in your heart, by the Greatest Physician we have, Our Lord and Our God.

No scars, when God heals us!
Gail

As the old saying goes time heals all wounds. But I would add to this that the wounds need to be dealt with properly for them to heal. In addition to finding a safe spiritual community to participate in, I would also suggest finding a counselor or therapist who can help you talk about what happened and help you gain understanding and healing.

I am thinking of for example Mormons and JWs who put so much time on false teachings thinking that they are on the side of the truth and when they get burned by the people they have trusted, those wounds are deep. God can heal any wounds if we let Him to work in our life.

I immediately thought of Paul's thorn in his side. He repeatedly prayed that it be removed, and it never was.

Was the thorn spiritual? Was it a person, or was Paul homosexual? Was it something Paul couldn't control, and God chose not to?

Was it a spiritual wound that never healed?

Everything heals--if you take the time it is required.

And--

Find ways to reason it out of your head

Understand and forgive (though may take time) people who have hurt you

Stop dwelling on it and try enjoy your life

Be agressive enough to solve the problems you can solve yourself.

Talk to people who can help you reason, but don't talk about it with people who don't need to know

THis is what it took to survive marital infidelity commited by my husband. I don't care who you are, Christian, Atheist or whatever, this can destroy a person sometimes

They CAN all heal.
Only Satan wants you to THINK that it is impossible, but ALL things are possible, through God.
Prayer, sincere prayer, NOT just words--God listens to your every word.

He already KNOWS what you want and need, but He wants to build your character and faith, by letting you see and KNOW that He hears you....by answering your prayer.

Don't EVEN let satan into your head.
He is a liar.

God will remove your wounds as far as the East is from the West.

I agree with the first answerer. They all can be healed if we take each of them to Jesus in prayer and let Him heal them His way in His time. But ......... the scars will always remain.

Sometimes, if someone has been scarred badly enough, there will always be a fear and/or loathing. Spiritual abuse can feel the same, if not deeper, than domestic abuse.

Spiritual wounds are notoriously hard to make. You are probably mistaking emotional wounds for spiritual ones.
