Athlete's foot is contagious. It's often spread in damp areas, such as public showers or pool areas. To prevent getting athlete's foot, dry your feet — and the spaces between your toes — thoroughly after showering or swimming. Use a clean towel. (Avoid sharing towels because doing so can spread the infection.) If you use public showers, like those in the locker room, wearing waterproof shoes or flip-flops is a good way to protect your feet. Also by your husband rubbing his feet against you can give you it as well.

More likely:

You two share a shower, and that's how he gave it to you.

Both you should pick up some treatment for it, and keep a disinfectant in the bathroom to spray the shower floor with after every use. Wear socks around the house constantly, and don't share towels.

Yes he can. It is very contagious, you can get it from his feet lying on the sheets. Athletes foot is the same fungus as ring worm but it just looks different on a persons foot.

Are you sure he was putting his feet on you? J/k. Athletes foot is a fungus that lives on your dead skin cells. You can have a mild case that doesn't bother you. You can get it from sharing the same shower, not necessarily playing footsies.

It's more likely it happened in the bathtub where the warm water, moisture and humidity permit it to grow. Have him wear socks to bed and either spray down the tub with Lysol after every shower, or wear flip flops into the shower.

Yeah tinea is contagious. Get him to wear socks and you'll probably have to wear thongs in the shower until it clears up.

YES, YOU GOT IT FROM HIM AND WILL CONTINUE TO GET IT UNTIL HE TREATS IT. A REALLY GOOD TREATMENT THAT WORKS FASTER THAN THE CREAM AND SPRAY IS HAVING HIM SOAK HIS FEET IN VINEGAR, YES VINEGAR. MIX ONE PART VINEGAR TO THREE PARTS WATER, SOAK FOR 10 MINUTES FOR THREE DAYS. IT SHOULD BE GONE IN NO TIME. WASH YOUR SHEETS IN HOT WATER AND BLEACH IF POSSIBLE AND SPRAY THE SHOWER WITH A MIXTURE OF 1 CAPFUL OF BLEACH TO 8 OZ OF WATER OR USE LYSOL. I WOULD ALSO HAVE HIM GET RID OF HIS SHOES (THEY PROBABLY STINK TOO) AND THIS WILL LIMIT HIS REINFECTING HIMSELF VIA THE SHOES. ALSO AFTER HE SHOWERS, HE NEEDS TO DRY HIS FEET THROUGHLY WITH A HAIRDRYER ON THE COOL SETTING. IF NOT THEN THE FUNGUS WILL NOT GO AWAY AND YOU WILL KEEP GETTING INFECTED
