All the birds would die except for the penguins, emus, and ostriches. The fish would go belly up. The insects would overpopulate because they weren't being eaten by birds, the spiders would get fat because of the abundance of food, and after about 50 years of humans rapidly evolving to adapt to the poisonous gas around us, we are eventually devoured by really fat, giant man-eating spiders who eat men because they ate all the insects. Kinda like Arachnophobia.
