READ VRSE 51 IT WILL SUM IT ALL UP
(John 1:1-51) 1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in [the] beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. What has come into existence 4 by means of him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light is shining in the darkness, but the darkness has not overpowered it. 6 There arose a man that was sent forth as a representative of God: his name was John. 7 This [man] came for a witness, in order to bear witness about the light, that people of all sorts might believe through him. 8 He was not that light, but he was meant to bear witness about that light. 9 The true light that gives light to every sort of man was about to come into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him, but the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own home, but his own people did not take him in. 12 However, as many as did receive him, to them he gave authority to become God’s children, because they were exercising faith in his name; 13 and they were born, not from blood or from a fleshly will or from man’s will, but from God. 14 So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of undeserved kindness and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, yes, he actually cried out—this was the one who said [it]—saying: “The one coming behind me has advanced in front of me, because he existed before me.”) 16 For we all received from out of his fullness, even undeserved kindness upon undeserved kindness. 17 Because the Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ. 18 No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom [position] with the Father is the one that has explained him. 19 Now this is the witness of John when the Jews sent forth priests and Levites from Jerusalem to him to ask him: “Who are you?” 20 And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed: “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him: “What, then? Are you E·li′jah?” And he said: “I am not.” “Are you The Prophet?” And he answered: “No!” 22 Therefore they said to him: “Who are you? that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” 23 He said: “I am a voice of someone crying out in the wilderness, ‘MAKE the way of Jehovah straight,’ just as Isaiah the prophet said.” 24 Now those sent forth were from the Pharisees. 25 So they questioned him and said to him: “Why, then, do you baptize if you yourself are not the Christ or E·li′jah or The Prophet?” 26 John answered them, saying: “I baptize in water. In the midst of YOU one is standing whom YOU do not know, 27 the one coming behind me, but the lace of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.” 28 These things took place in Beth′a·ny across the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day he beheld Jesus coming toward him, and he said: “See, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is the one about whom I said, Behind me there comes a man who has advanced in front of me, because he existed before me. 31 Even I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing in water was that he might be made manifest to Israel.” 32 John also bore witness, saying: “I viewed the spirit coming down as a dove out of heaven, and it remained upon him. 33 Even I did not know him, but the very One who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘Whoever it is upon whom you see the spirit coming down and remaining, this is the one that baptizes in holy spirit.’ 34 And I have seen [it], and I have borne witness that this one is the Son of God.” 35 Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and as he looked at Jesus walking he said: “See, the Lamb of God!” 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned and, getting a view of them following, he said to them: “What are YOU looking for?” They said to him: “Rabbi, (which means, when translated, Teacher,) where are you staying?” 39 He said to them: “Come, and YOU will see.” Accordingly they went and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day; it was about the tenth hour. 40 Andrew the brother of Simon Peter was one of the two that heard what John said and followed [Jesus]. 41 First this one found his own brother, Simon, and said to him: “We have found the Mes·si′ah” (which means, when translated, Christ). 42 He led him to Jesus. When Jesus looked upon him he said: “You are Simon the son of John; you will be called Ce′phas” (which is translated Peter). 43 The next day he desired to depart for Gal′i·lee. So Jesus found Philip and said to him: “Be my follower.” 44 Now Philip was from Beth·sa′i·da, from the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Na·than′a·el and said to him: “We have found the one of whom Moses, in the Law, and the Prophets wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, from Naz′a·reth.” 46 But Na·than′a·el said to him: “Can anything good come out of Naz′a·reth?” Philip said to him: “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Na·than′a·el coming toward him and said about him: “See, an Israelite for a certainty, in whom there is no deceit.” 48 Na·than′a·el said to him: “How does it come that you know me?” Jesus in answer said to him: “Before Philip called you, while you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Na·than′a·el answered him: “Rabbi, you are the Son of God, you are King of Israel.” 50 Jesus in answer said to him: “Because I told you I saw you underneath the fig tree do you believe? You will see things greater than these.” 51 He further said to him: “Most truly I say to YOU men, YOU will see heaven opened up and the angels of God ascending and descending to the Son of man.”
read vrse 51 it will sum it all up. THE ANGELS OF GOD ASCENDING AND DESCENDING TO THE SON OF MAN.
JESUS OBVIOUSLY IS NOT GOD OR THEY WOULD BE HIS ANGELS.
JESUS IS CALLED THE LAMB OF GOD.
JESUS IS CALLED THE SON OF GOD.
JESUS IS CALLED SON OF MAN.
BUT JESUS IS NEVER CALLED JEHOVAH GOD.

I understand that JW's really don't believe in God the same way as Christians. There are many devout and mislead people in there midst. They have the Watchtower Society to tell everyone what to believe. Beware of the leavening of the Pharisees. During the Dark Ages of Europe, the Catholics would not let anyone own their own Bibles or learn to read them...they were sent to their priests to ask for guidance. It is a way to maintain control over people...keep them in the Dark. When the Bible got out and was translated for the common believer, the reformation started; Protestantism was born.
As far as I know, there are two modern day churches which claim to be Christian, yet they do not believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ that is found in the Holy Bible. 1 John 1 tells us that Jesus' blood cleansed us from sin. Could a mere man cleanse us from sin? True believers and saints, we need to pray for our mislead brethren in the Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If we walk in the Light, there can be no darkness. We cannot judge them but have plenty of intercessory prayer!

No man has seen God the Father...except His Son Jesus...You must also realize that the JW's Bible is not even called a Bible...but Holy Scriptures instead. There are so many things changed. There is evidence that God the Son was talked about in the Old Testament in Psalms and other places, but the JW's did not realize this and still replaced it with the word Jehovah...which is an English transliteration for YHWH--the Word used when referencing God the Father. LORD is also replaced with Jehovah. Everyone knows the Hebrews did not want to take God's name in vain so they never wrote out the entire word YHWH with the vowels, etc...The Bible is full of respect for God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. JW's don't even want to acknowledge that the Comforter has been sent to us from God, and is a separate but equal part of the Godhead.

Just because we're called Jehovah's Witnesses that doesn't mean that we're not Christians. We are Christians. We believe in Jesus and we read the Bible.

Please note that these are only WHOLE verses that the NIV deletes. This list does not include the many words and phrases that were completely deleted from the NIV--it deletes over 64,000 words including words like mercyseat, Jehovah, and Godhead. It removes meaningful, well-known Bible words like Calvary, Lucifer, new testament, regeneration, etc. Most of the modern Bibles line up very closely with the NIV--and so does the New World Translation--the Bible of the Jehovah's Witnesses which predates the NIV!
When you read below where I say that a verse is COMPLETELY deleted, I mean clean/bald-headed/gone/vanished deleted. For instance, if you search for Acts 8:37 in the NIV you will read,
36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?"
38And he ordered the chariot to stop. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
Verse 37 is CLEAN, BALD-HEADED, GONE, VANISHED, MY FRIENDS (and it is a powerful verse)! Some foolish people have written me saying, "But it says something in the footnotes." I have three responses. (1) When you are reading your Bible do you look at the footnotes after every verse? Do you say "I am reading verse 3 so let me look below and see if something in verse 3 is missing."? Even if you did do that (which you don't) the footnotes say that the "best manuscripts" don't have the verse--will you then agree with them that the verse doesn't belong? If not, then why are you reading an NIV? (2) Not all the word deletions are found in the footnotes of the NIV so don't think for a second that they are letting you know all the changes they made. (3) The next logical step will be for the NIV to omit the footnotes and just reorder everything. In the example above verse 38 would become verse 37 so it wouldn't look funny. Look at the J.B. Phillips translation--that heretick didn't number the individual verses so you don't know what you're missing. It's paragraph style. The NIV may go that way too. They are desensitizing you to the changing of the very words of God. In summary, they'll either renumber or go to that paragraph format.
Wait a minute, hold the presses! I got the following from Bill W. one of our dear readers:
"I was in the Christian Book store today. I saw some thing that shocked me. I look through the Bibles often. I looked at the CHILDREN'S NIV. I looked up the missing verses and there was something I could not believe. I looked up Matt 17:21 and of course it is missing BUT in this Children's Bible it was typed out like this 20/21 and the 21st verse was still missing. They make you think that you read the 21st verse but it still is just the 20th verse! Can you believe it???!!! If you want to look for yourself find the CHILDREN'S NIrV BIBLE, and see for yourself. I did look in the other NIV's to see if they did the same thing. They DID NOT do that, BUT how long before they do?????!"
They are already sneaking the deletions into the children's Bibles! This is the second time that I've heard of those foxes pulling one over on little helpless children. The other thing I've seen them do is retranslate the kids' and prisoners' Bibles to make them gender neutral. Of course those foxes didn't market them that way, they just snuck in the gender inclusivity. See this article for details.
Another update! I just opened the JW "Bible", the New World Translation (1961 ed.), and looked up all the verses that the NIV completely deletes. THE JEHOVAH'S WITNESS BIBLE DELETES THE EXACT SAME ONES!!!! I mean ALL of 'em! The only difference between the NIV and the New World Translation deletions is that the JW Bible does not include any footnotes! Isn't that what I said above, that the NIV would eventually delete the footnotes? To learn more about the Jehovah's Witnesses and their damnable doctrines go to our article on cults.
Our illiterate, lazy culture has spilled over to many professing Christians who have embraced the ways of the sluggard (and their want shall come upon them as an armed man). They are willing to read a Satanic "Bible" version missing what God says so they can be lazy and not do their due diligence. Your modern Bible perversion was written by men using dynamic equivalence. In other words, they are telling you their interpretation and their doctrine--NOT what the manuscripts really say. Don't believe me? Look at the article on the NIV using gender inclusive language. Gender inclusivity wasn't in the "originals"--it is a modern, feminist concept born of REBELLION.
A number of brothers and sisters, after examining the facts, have said, "I'm getting a King James!" Many have shared what a blessing the King James Bible has been to them and their spiritual life. The King James isn't hard. I've seen one and two year olds quoting it and I am not exaggerating. I've taught it to people who cannot read and to children whose second language is English. I actually find the modern Bibles more difficult to read than the King James.
If you read a modern Bible, don't let your pride get in the way of really looking at this information. Some people get hostile because I'm sharing these facts. Look up the verses and see that what you call the Bible is not the Bible. Get a real Bible. The King James conformable to the edition of 1611--NOT the New King James or the KJ21, etc. they are not King James Bibles.
WHOLE Bible verses deleted in the NIV

I have read the NIV and the NWT...both of them are missing a whole lot of important information. They are not more accurate if they are missing important facts. I have found the NKJV to be the easiest to use, and closest to KJV.
The word baptize comes from the Greek word to immerse. If that word had been translated correctly, more churches would not be sprinkling their babies to baptize them.
Historical facts regarding the crucification of people in Rome--the JW idea changes it to a torture stake...they want to change the facts because they want to discredit the reverence for the Cross that many churches have. Also, the fact that Yeshua Messiah is God is denied by JW's, Muslims, and many Jews. The Muslims made their own Bible, just as the JW's did--and LDS usually defer to their own book too....

No, the New World Translation is one of the most dangerous books in the world. It is not the bible but, a twisted, distorted, deceived version of the blible leading many people to eternal damnation. The only people who trust it are those who are spiritually dead, spiritually blind, who do not know God and do not believe God. The JW's are calling God a liar and telling all the world that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit do not know the truth but the JW's do. This book is straight out of the pit, authored by the devil who blinds the minds of the unbelievers. Anyone who denies that Jesus is God in flesh is of the devil. It is one thing not to understand something but it is another to flat out reject it because you refuse to believe. You cannot gain your salvation because God says so. If you do not have the Spirit of Christ which is the Holy Spirit in you, then you don't belong to Him. JW's are children of the devil. Jesus says you must be born again and no JW has been born again, not even the 144,000. You are counterfeit Christians and you will answer to Jesus. He will say depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. You cannot create your own Gospel or your own Jesus. You cannot gain enough brownie points to earn your salvation. You have no heavenly hope rightfully because none of you are going and neither will you be on the new earth. You teach false doctrines. Jesus preached more about hell than anyone and deny there is a hell. You just cannot accept the truth of scripture so you change it to suit your own false doctrines and ignorant, unlearned, desparate people fall for it. But God is delivering many out of the JW's and many people's eyes are being opened to see the errors of this false religion. Unfortunately many people have suffered under the evil spirit of error that controls the watchtower organization. I see it everyday and I have known many people who have been traumatized dramatically by this organization.

Yes, it is. But, BY FAR, the most important things are:
1) You can show people these things/facts from any Bible version.
2) You can show the pagan origin, manmade origin of popular doctrines (by very year they were added to mainline religion) from historical sources, encyclopdedias, etc.
You don't need the NWT to prove Bible truth. It just makes reading the Bible easier and more understandable. (NWT is only from 1960 in it's entirety).

One verse does not doctine make.
The remainder of the verses in John 1 explicitly explain who THE God of John 1:1 is.
He is God the Creator, God the Word is Jesus.
