No, only if they don't believe in doing their homework, or going to class.

The huge problem with that study is that it says nothing about what beliefs those sampled actually hold to. Someone can say they believe in God, but that does not mean they believe in creation. They may believe in theistic evolution. We do not know what basic religious tenets those sampled hold to, and so we cannot begin to theorize any implications of the results. The study also does not account for confounding of certain variables. (We cannot verify whether it is "higher income" or "higher education level" that is showing causation.)

I prefer a doctor who shares my faith….
The truth is I should be dead, but I believe that I’m alive because my family physician and his staff and family were praying for me… Even in recent years I’ve had doctors say “ you know you should be dead” there is no medical reason why I’m alive…prayer …it’s a power conversation between you and God…and I would like my doctor to pray too.

I don't care what he/she believes in just so long as he/she is a good doctor.

I really don't care. As long as he passed medical school and got a license to practice, I don't care what he believes in. As a matter of fact, maybe if he didn't believe in God, that would make him more inclined to work harder to find out what was wrong with me, instead of just saying, "Well, it's in God's hands now."

I worry more about my docter having a "God Complex." My last two docters were hindu, and my children's pediatrician was buddahist along with our dentist. As long as they do a good job, and they actually are holding up the hypocratic oath I really don't think that it matters.

yes, i think it's good for a doctor to believe in god, and that they have faith that he will help him heal me or my family. i know that god will be holding their hands while they do their job. and if they don't believe, at least i know i do, and god wont let me down.

I honestly do not care.

I go to a doctor for medical treatment, not a theological debate

That is what YA is for =P

Yes, I do. I don't want a doctor to play God. He needs to be wise enough to know when he's in over his head and consult a real healer.

No because religion never enters into our conversations. I only care if they are AMA certified and not have a record of serious errors.
