I need an essay or a blog entry of some sort, of an Atheist explaining why the atheist religion is the way to go and also explaining why the Christian/Catholic religion is silly

Just be truthful, tell it from your perspective.... we only know what is truth by what it is we have experienced. Some of us do change in time.
Truly from my new perspective...from all my experiences, what I have ascertain through it all is we don't need to be in a religion in order to connect with God.... God has answered me many times in many ways.
I understand why an atheist is the way they are, no matter what your age, your young in spirit.... and if you don't blossom it will be in God's time, He is understanding and patient enough to allow you to live many life's...yes reincarnation....He gives newly created spirits enough time to change, because He knows we have free will, and since God is compassionate and shows mercy....He gives us plenty time, we are His children:)
I hope your able to use some if not all of this as your answer... since I have lived many life's I am more knowledgeable than most, although I was raised Catholic.... I am who God intended me to be.

I am an atheist.
First of all, atheism is not a religion. A religion is a system of beliefs that center around at least one god.
Atheism is not a system of beliefs. It is one disbelief. And that disbelief is the disbelief in any gods.
The catholic religion is not silly. It is a system of beliefs in a god. There are many people who believe in that system, and they have every right to believe as they do.
I am not a catholic because I do not believe in their beliefs. That does not make my disbelief silly or their beliefs silly. I think we need to be more mature about our differences.

"Silly", I think they need to explain what they are talking about. If they are lumping all Christians (of all denominations together) and saying they believe what Catholics believe, they are very uninformed.
I would also let them know that it will be the Christians who will have the last laugh when standing before God!
