First of all I dont consider christianity a religion. I consider it a relationship with Jesus, and that is what i would say every christian would consider it. And also to answer your question about how god can be loving if he sends people away for quesioning his existance, well its extremely loving of him to forgive every sin except pride which you would have if you denied his existance cause its saying you can live without him. But really god is just like ur best friend helping you with lifes problems. And also faith as proof, how do you know Abraham Lincoln was real, you never saw him all uve seen is documents anyone could have written, but there are documents to claiming Jesus was real.
I also think that all the people on this site are just insulting you when really they should show gods love. Every christian was a nonchristian and looking for god before they found him. You can find him too. So i dont know why they are judgeing you.
Not all christians are the way you think. But were humans and sinners too and make mistakes to.

Seems like you got a taste of some bad religion. The problem is not God, it's the people. Find you own relationship with Him, and you'll see what it's all about. Remember though, that there IS a universal truth, so anyone who believes that they understand the truth is going to disbelieve everything else.
As for me, I was an atheist until a friend dropped a Bible off at my house. I only read it because I had interest in it as an historical document. By the end of 2 weeks though, I was a changed person. That's how I know that God is real, and that's now why I believe in Him.
You'll have to come to your own conclusions. I encourage you to continue your search for the truth. Good luck.

Ms. Lady has it right. The choice is yours.
We've found the truth, and as such are no longer looking for something better. There is nothing better.
That said, no one is perfect. No one has it all together, Christian or not. Correctly interpreting the "dos" and the "don'ts" and understanding the reasons why, and communicating it in a gracious and loving manner is something many people aren't good at. Hopefully you'll find someone who can answer your questions to your satisfaction. In the meantime, I hope you won't rule out Christianity due to not finding individuals who can answer your questions with the level of tact you require.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me."'

How can this so called loving god cast away someone for simply questioning his existence without having proof. And for you bible bangers....I don't consider faith as proof!
I couldn't agree more with the second sentence.

Why would anyone not want to believe the Bible? There is proof that the Bible is 100% true! If you are serious about learning the truth - then now is your chance...

Whoa relax. Nobody's forcing you to become a Christian. It looks like as if you really had a bad day, I'm sorry for that.
And no, religion does not come between me when I educate, and I'm not close-minded. Hey, thanks for the insults.
Right now, it's you who sounds mean and ignorant.

You've approached it wrongly;-{ looking for academic proof.
What you need to do is ask real people why they believe.
You've misunderstood the whole point & message.
The G*D revealed to us by Jesus is a loving Father.
Jesus came to make him visible to all mankind forever.
Only you can put yourself in Hell by rejecting G*Ds love.

I just shared this with a previous poster, but it fits here too.....
hmmmmm.....you say we are not intelligent, but you come to a religion board to pick a fight with religious people.
Now THAT is logical.
It seems to me that you may be emotionally weak and in search of something more and maybe you are interested in learning about God, Jesus and the Christian religion?
Don't be ashamed, we'll talk to you even if you have to say mean and ignorant things about us.......
Now if you want to lose your 'fake' god and talk to us about our real one, go ahead....let us know..........
_______________________________________________
BTW.....speaking of showing your lack of education.....you make a good example.
Be nice and chill out.........
If you don't want to play nice here, there are other boards where you won't get so upset

You asked, I answer:
Because,
By the deeds of the law there shall no person be justified in God’s sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin and all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom 3:20, 23
Then,
They all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:12
Also I say unto you, whosoever shall confess me (Jesus) before men, him shall the Son of man (Jesus) also confess before the angels of God:
But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.. Luke 12:8-9
However.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
For,
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Therefore,
If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
Then,
He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white robes; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
So,
That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15

Actually, there is proof that God is true. You just have to find that proof on your own. Then you will truly believe God.
