we purchased this turkey last week wednesday an it been defrosted for 3 to 4 days will it last till thanksgiving. or should i cook it now

It should be okay as long as it has been defrosting in the fridge and not out on a counter. Be sure your fridge is good and cold too.

actually thats along time for it to be in the fridge.. yes i will take 2 days maybe less to thaw 10lbs isnt that big.. but letting it sit another 5 or 6 days till its gettting cooked then id say NO that is not a good idea..id cook it or just use it for a soup or something.. well good luck.. and if you do this again you can defrost it in the fridge then the day before put it in the sick with water it will defrost faster and its safe also i do that every time i do turkey... hope this helps..

If you purchased the turkey last Wednesday frozen, and put it in the fridge, it would have taken about 2 1/2 - 3 days to thaw completely - let's say 3 days. You will be right on the edge on Turkey day but you should be OK. Any longer and I'd say to cook it now.
