Why or why not?

No.

Being gay doesn't mean you practice homosexual acts...does it?

The bible said not to lie with another man...and if they don't have sex, then they're not sinning...are they?

Probably. It is stated in the Old Testament and again in the New.

However, if you are gay but do not act on it...then that is fine.

It's important to realize 2 really important things though:

1)God loves everyone. He loves sinners, but hates the sin.
2)Being gay, though sinful, isn't more sinful than other sins. All sins are the same in the eyes of God. So any Christians that judge gays need to look at their OWN lives first.

No more wrong than to be a married Christian, a charitable Christian, a middle eastern Christian or a Christian with blue eyes. Being homosexual is a natural part of nature and a simple variation. Those that say no it is wrong to be a gay christian or gay period are misreading the Christian bible as well as being seriously mislead by well meaning (for the most part) religous leaders. I know of many who are gay and they attend all kinds of churches form Catrholic to Southern Baptist and a few are Buddhists, such as me.

No more wrong than any other Christian who sins. That's why we are Christians, to rejoice in the fact that Jesus died on the cross for us. No PC sin is greater than an obscure one. Just because "gay" has been in the forefront does not make it a more significant sin than any other. They are all sins period.

Key factor being, that we all must be working towards a more perfect, sin free life, to please God.

If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

There can be no such thing as a gay Christian.

You cannot willingly commit a sin repeatedly and have no plans to stop committing it and be a Christian

Yes it is wrong. People who practice the sin of homosexuality are not true Christians. Because God said so....

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. KJV

1 Corinthians 6: 9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. NKJV
