OK. Do you still have to have a memory card for the ps3? because with the newer consoles like wii and 360, you can save it to the system. Can you do thta with a ps3? or do you have to have a memory card to save anything at all?

also, is the ps3 as cool as its worked up to be? i thin k it looks awesome, but i don't want to buy something that's going to be just like the ps2.

For the PS3, you don't need a memory card because all of the PS3's have hard drives. All of your games can be saved to the game console. If you want to use your PS1 and PS2 memory cards on the PS3, you have to buy the Memory card adapter and use the memory card adapter to copy all of your Memory Card data to the PS3's hard drive.

And yes the PS3 is as cool as it's worked up to be. The PS3 is the most advanced game console in the market, it's more reliable than the Red Ring of Death Xbox 360, and the PS3 has some good exclusive games out and has way more PS3 exclusives on the way. The PS3 is nothing like the PS2.

The PS3 doesn't use a disc tray, it sucks in the discs once you insert the disc in a little bit just like many CD players in cars. The PS3 has built in WiFi, Bluray, and Bluetooth. And of course the 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB PS3's have backward compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games. The 40GB PS3 cannot play PS2 games, but it can play PS1 games. The PS3 is the only console that has the most to offer.

Hi,

you don't need memory cards, but you still can use them to take your savegame at your friend's ps3
Otherwise hard drive will be used.

The ps3 is getting better and better those days. It's from far cooler than the ps2. You won't be disapointed, but I would recommend you to wait a little. At least until christmas or more to see the new blockbuster games.
Until now, they arn't so much, but it's normal. It's a not an old game system. It's slowly improving.

THe ps3 will also read divx soon !
