The PS3 is worth buying. The PS3 has no hardware problems like the Red Ring of Death Xbox 360.
And that guy that said that all of the games that will define the PS3 are coming out after Metal Gear Solid 4 is so wrong. He obviously doesn't know anything about PS3 exclusives. Most Xbox 360 owners only know about few PS3 exclusive games anyways.
Uncharted Drakes Fortune just came out a few days early and that game is totally awesome, I bought it just today! And on December 4th another PS3 exclusive shooter is coming out and that game is highly anticipated as well. Plus there are other good PS3 exclusives already out such as Resistance Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword Rachet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction Warhawk, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
There is going to be a lot of awesome PS3 exclusives coming out way before Metal Gear Solid 4.
The PS3 has built in WiFi, Bluetooth, Bluray, and the 20GB, 60GB, and 80GB PS3 can play both PS1 and PS2 games. The PS3 has a whole lot more to offer than the Xbox 360.
And I haven't had any problems with my PS3 at all since I got mine back in January. I have heard people on Yahoo Answers say that are already on their 4th and 5th Xbox 360. That's just a shame.

It really isn't right now, because they have only a select few exclusives right now. Every single one of the games that will define the PS3 has been scheduled to come out after Metal Gear Solid 4, and since MGS4 keeps getting delayed, the others keep getting pushed back as well.
Just a little side note, my roommate has a PS3. I enjoy some games on it, even though I own an Xbox 360. We bought Assassin's Creed at the same time, and we're playing through it. His system has frozen 4+ times while playing, whereas mine hasn't had any problems at all.

Yes, with out a doubt. You can play all the Playstation games (previous versions to) and play online for free (unlike X-Box 360). If all your friends have it, you can chat and play with them free of charge as well. Besides the price is now at 399$. Thats not bad... Maybe you can get a good deal this black friday?
