It just makes no sense.

I'm pretty sure God loves them too. But according to Christians they will go to hell so my Athiset friends that died in Iraq protecting us will go to hell.

That makes no sense at all.

Religion, by definition, does not have to make sense. It usually lives up to the definition.

How can a good, selfless, atheist go to a place that they do not believe exists? If an atheist truly believes that Heaven or hell does not exist, then why worry about something that will, in their own words, never happen? God does love them too, but they don't believe that He is there, so they do not follow His words. But, if He does not exist, as they say, then they have nothing to worry about, do they? Why then are you so upset because Christians say that your friend will go to hell? That is what makes no sense at all.

Jesus told Nicodemus You must be born again otherwise you will in no wise enter in.

If you go to a store and fill your cart full of items but unless you pay for them you cannot takes the items out of the store. There are rules in anything thing we do. We cannot live anyway we choose and expect God to say that that is OK. Just ask God into your heart then you can be forgiven to God bless.

nothing much in the bible is worth the read but i have read it many times growing up, it was required reading. the bible also says that there is no love greater than that a man give up his life for a friend. love like that is as great a love as any god's. don't judge yourself or your friend short in light of christianity. it does not have the answers and just because they claim something is so, does not make it so. nobody goes to hell, everyone goes home.

I raised a christian in a pentacostal church most of my life. After years of finding most of the sinners in the church, i dont believe half of what they say. I dont know if you could call me an athiest now. I guess I dont kow what to believe. I think that if it is all real that there will be more of that so called christians in hell than the athiests.

Let me put it too you like this:
Suppose you were born to Uber-rich parents, but you moved out at 18 and refused to have any communication with them, and in all social situations, and on all legal papers denied that they were you parents. No matter how your parents tried, they could not get you to acknowledge that you were their children, or that they existed. You declare this to the entire world. How then do you expect to come into you inheritance?

The most important thing that you can do is to acknowledge your Creator, and strive to live by His rules. If you deny His existence, He cannot help you.
He is offering you a free gift - that of eternal life - and all you have to do is reach out and take it. If you choose not to (no matter how much it saddens Him), then you will not get it. He cannot force it on you, He gave us freewill after all.

I believe that all life has divinity in it; therefore, I and my cat are God and Goddess. With this reasoning, I now forgive all Atheists, Agnostics, Pagans and non-Christians.
Your atheist friend died for our sins (greed, manifest destiny, protecting so-called good Christians) just like Jesus.
There, doesn't that make sense and make you feel better?

Romans 10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Mark 16:16: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

THe Bible says that to be saved, you have to believe. Athiests don't believe in God, so why would they go to heaven?

It doesn't make sense because it's not true. God is wise, not cruel. If he wants to change the rules, he will, and he sees people's hearts, not just their bumper stickers and lip service.
I've knowm a lot of people who never said a word about God, and I didn't know if they were believers or not, but I could see God in them, clearly as the sky.

That's like asking "Why is it that the fat, out of shape slob on the ocean liner can make it all the way across the ocean when Mark Spitz (winner of tons of Gold Medals in swimming) can't even get half way there?"

Here's why - NOBODY can swim the Atlantic on their own power. If you want to cross an ocean, you NEED a boat.

NOBODY is good enough to get to heaven on their own power. If you want to go to heaven, you MUST do it on Jesus' sacrifice.

Get in the boat. It's a free ride offered to ALL people. Anybody who doesn't get in will drown.
