Several years ago I went on SlimFast and went from 150 lbs. down to 114 lbs. (I am very short .. so weight shows up on me fast!) It was great .. when it started coming off I felt so good about myself was exercising and everything ... got to buy new clothes and got a lot of compliments. It really helped my self-esteem! (I weighed 90 lbs. when I was a senior in high school so 150 lbs. was a lot for me). All my family is obese .. I have always been the smallest but have been verbally abused and physically abused by an ex-husband so my "spirit" has pretty much been broken. Anyway, when I lost so much weight my family made horrible comments. It hurt me. I am an emotional eater. I went back to my old habits and gained it all back. I cannot seem to get motivated again! And, it's so much worse this time because I know I CAN do it ... it just ain't happening! So, if you find something that works .. I could use some help too!

stay away from sodium, eat less portions, but more meals, do cardio for at least 1 hour a day. Don't eat school lunches, keep your calories below 1200 per day. Give up on sodas, candies etc. Don't be afraid to cheat every once in a while and have a small snack. Trust me, you can do this! I have been doing this and have been eating less, excercising more, losing weight and will be great by may. Don't give into all the hype about pills and weight loss treatments, the only one I know really really really does work is Isagenix! Google it, it is rather expensive, (~$350 for 30 days) but worth it. In teh first nine days I have seen people lose 15+ pounds! Drink plenty of water. Don't be discouraged if when you start to lose weight, you don't really see any improvment, teh first few poudns is sometimes water weight.
Cardio-Running, jumping, walking, swimming, moving in general!

My mom lost quite a bit of weight by eliminating flour and sugar from her diet. It forced her to eat natural, whole foods. I've done the same but I was already at a healthy weight.
As for exercise, the best thing you can do is find something that you enjoy, and find an excercise buddy or support group if you can.

You need to just change your eating...flat out...dont think of it as a diet ..think of it as a new lifestyle cos if you dont do it forever you will end up being overweight again no matter how much you lose...eat stuff like chicken, eggs, fish, white/brown rice, cereal, salads, fruit , yogurt...dont eat between meals...its going to be hard at first...but try to keep yourself busy...as far as working out...just go for long walks at first...you dont want to overwhelm yourself to much...then once you start to see your body change you will want to work out more...then you can get more serious about it..dont drink soda...and you dont have to completly stop eating everything you love...once in a while you can treat yourself for a day...but know that when the next day comes ITS OVER back to your normal healthy eating...try to stick to it you can do it trust me...no one had less self control then me...and i did it ...LOL..and not its like breathing its so easy...good luck...i hope it works out for you....DONT EAT 1200 CALORIES A DAY you cant start at that you will starve and give up instantly ...start at 1700 and work your way down...trust me 1700 will make you lose weight ...your probably eating over 3500 as of right now...
