I lied to my ex boyfriend when we broke up, now I want to tell him the truth that were talking again...?

When he broke up with me a year ago I was extremely depressed because we had been together for 2 years...then I met someone else a few months later and he decided he wanted me back. He begged and begged but I was too afraid to get hurt again so I turned him down...and I knew the only way I could make him go away was by telling him a lie because I did in fact still love him.. I told him that I lied about having sex with only 1 other person before him and that it was actually more than that because I knew how much it would bother him and that he would just go away....it took some time and he was quite upset by it but he did. Now a year later...were talking again and were going to hang out...I want to tell him that I lied about that one thing because it was soo not true and I dont want him thinking that of me anymore but I dont know how to do it...any suggestions? :S thanks...by the way I know it was a dumb thing to do so I dont need any smart comments..lol

Still, Brutals going to brow-beat you, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER lie in a relationship, its not just stupid, its compassniateless, its selfish, its mean, and its why this world so f'ed up, so DON'T DO IT!!! Its worse then stupid, and your going to find out why by seeing how the OPPOSITE WORKS! Whats the opposite of lieing? Thats right, time to be honest, now give it a try, tell him the truth, and see how much EASIER things flow. Personally I think your manipulative, but I don't have to love you, so hopfully you learn how important honesty is from now on, and prove your a woman with a heart, and not a little girl playing games. Just the way it is, also very pointless to lie to save your heart to the person you love. So realize any heartbreck you recieve is actually warranted, him coming back is more then you deserve, so I hope you make me wrong, and prove to this foolhearted individual how much your love means, thru honestly of course....
