Unfortunately, it isn't found in every romantic relationship!

Ever visited a dating website? People can't go more than two sentences without mentioning that they are "very independent" (especially women)!

There are men/women out there that always have to hold a piece of them back. I don't know if it is because they are afraid of being hurt, fear of not being in total control or what.

When I have feelings for someone, I rarely hold back (maybe that is why I have so few relationships?)

I'd have to agree with the previous reply that no it's not. Emotionally dependance is really a sad state to live in, where one person depends soley on another person to meet all of their emotional needs. In othere words, they 've got no friends. No matter how long a relationship last (married or not) it is important to have other people in your life.

i guess it's that whole "being vulnerable" thing, opening your heart up so much for that one person.
i think strong romantic relationships should also promote self reliance too.. your strong by yourself but together your even better.
