As a beginner you would want to look for an Archery range that has leagues.....more than likely they will also have used bows......thats the most economical way to start......especially if you plan on upgrading in a year or two.....

You can go watch the leagues and see where you want to start, and at the pro-shop they can assist you with the right draw length for arrows, and the correct spine weight for the weight and the length....... whether or not you plan on using fingers or a release....what type of rest or to shoot off the shelf...

just avoid going to the big box retailers,, you may or may not get what you want or need.....

and generally most states want people to use bows of at least 40 lb pull weight for hunting.....

There are several manufacturers that make Recurve Bows for Lefties...Try your local Archery Pro Shop if you have one or Cabelas,***** Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shops or Sports Authority. They might have to special order one for you since you are left handed. Keep in mind that most states require a draw weight of 40lbs minimum for Deer and Bowhunting in general. You might want to check with your local Game & Fish Department to see what the requirements are in your state for Bowhunting. Some states also require a Bowhunters Safety Hunting class to qualify for a license. These are all things you should know BEFORE you buy your new recurve.Good Luck with whatever you buy!
