please dont listen to this BS......PLEASE!!!! EGGS ROT VERY EASILY!!! when I have a box of them (I always buy the best organic) I finish them in one week!!!! Im a bodybuilder and eat alot of them and tell you with honesty : you have to eat them fast!!! it is protein it has a tendency to absorb bacteria and rot easily!!!!

Place the eggs into a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom of the bowl and lie on their sides. Slightly older eggs will stand on their points or float just off the bottom. Eggs that float at the surface are not fresh and may even be rotten. This is because the air pocket inside the egg swells up with time.

I don't know exactly how long, but I've seen eggs last a LONG time after they expired... up to a month. This assumes that they were refrigerated the whole time, though.

4-5 months.
Seriously..... they dont' even refrigerate fresh eggs in Europe, but sell them next to the flour and sugar on the shleves.
These eggs woudl be best for boiling, b/c they peel easiest when a bit older. Make soem deviled eggs!
