First of all, there is no such thing as an 1993 STS. Production began in 1994. However, pricing on new starters vary from location...as well as location of purchase. You can buy a new starter from Autozone or Oreillys for a moderate price and get moderate quality OR you can buy from the dealer paying a high price and get a high quality part. Depends on your needs or expectations. Also, time of labor on that starter is about 2 hours so make sure the part you put on is worth it. Good luck.
