could be for several reasons. They don't have the right role models in their lives and are reaching out to have that acceptance from a guy because for some reason their own father isn't there. Trying to be popular with the guys, and not realizing that all they are doing is getting a label of 'school slut, whore, sleeze, easy' what ever you want to call it. Wanting to be accepted, and more than not to have something that the loves them no matter what happens. Something of her own. Most of all, not to have someone to talk to about the consequences, Like a parent to ask questions and get answers.

In the heat of the moment most people don't stop and think of the outcome; pregnancy!

It also seems to be a "in" thing with kids these days. They are in such a hurry to grow up and not relax enjoy your childhood. Becoming an adult comes soon enough with all the hassles of everyday life.

They are responding to the most intense "drive" all living beings have---the urge to survive. No one survives into the next generation without having children---people living on the planet now are all the result of this, and each generation the urge gets greater.
Society, for many reasons, works to delay this ---- teen girls who won't wait to have children probably don't trust in the future, and the future "rewards" society, school, church, etc. tells them are waiting if they have babies in their 20's, instead.
They just don't see the point in waiting----usually this is because they have had few material rewards as children, and assume they'll do just fine as adults living in the same poverty they did as children.

I'm not sure you should be so quick to blame the girls. Guys can be very persuasive, and peer pressure is intense.

Poor parenting skills can be blamed in many cases too. If they are not taught at a young enough age by parents who care, this can add to the problem also.

Add the desire for a girl to be wanted, and that is an awful lot of pressure on her.

Many young girls do not get pregnant on purpose. Yes, they know sex=pregnancy, but the hormones are raging!!!! Just because they made a mistake on having sex, they decide to do the right thing and not terminate the pregnancy becasue two wrongs do not make a right.

some girls just want to be mothers and think that they wont amount to anything so they just want to get it over with. but some underage moms just really want to be parents. i mean, im only 13, and i would already love to be a mother. but i know that i have college to go to and i want to be married. :]

I don't agree that they have premarital sex but I don't agree with you question. Its distasteful, condemning, and not going to help any one who reads it.

Peer pressure, or they haven't been told of the risk of having sex.

You need to look at yourself before you judge someone else. Your grammar is terrible.
