it says to put "whole cloves" in this one recipe i needed but i dunno if it means garlic cloves or wut?

Clove is a spice. It's not the same as garlic cloves. You can buy cloves whole or ground. The whole ones are about 1/4 inch long. You can get them in the spice section of any supermarket.

Don't confuse cloves with garlic. Can you imagine what this would do to sauce? A clove is a short spicy thing( the dried flower bud of a tropical evergreen tree native to the East Indies). It is often used to flavor Baked ham. Several spikes of clove are pressed into the ham prior to baking.

Whole cloves are spices that look like small rail spikes. You can poke them into ham or oranges and they smell very fragrant.

a clove is an herb. and by that, "whole clove" thing, they mean get the clove and don't cut it, just drop the while thing in there!

no, cloves are a spice. You get them in the spice section, next to the nutmeg, cinnamon, ground ginger, etc. You can buy them ground up, or whole. Ground up is black powder, but whole, they look like tiny little spikey things in a small jar.

A spice they look like "thornes" dark in color used a lot when making baked ham.buy them in isle where spices are.
