After a rainstorm I find water in the footwell of the passenger side, not much but I want to stop the leak .The door gaskets are in new condition, so i dont think it is from the door. The windows are always up, I check. Has anyone had this happen to their wrangler and found the reason? Please help!

I would bet you park your Jeep by a tree ?,The heating system takes in air under you hood at the top, since water also gets in during rain they have a tube to drain the water, when the tube gets cloged the water spills over into the jeep behind the dash on the pass side.

This is your problem 100%

You have to clean the tube out.

Good luck

Yes I have this problem still. I've had it since I bought the Jeep new in 2004, It's an X model. Every time it rained it would leak on the front passenger side. What I did was take it back about 7 times to get repaired under the warranty. They couldn't find the leak and kept replacing the front carpet. They wouldn't give me a new Jeep either. So I asked them to remove the carpet and cover the floor area with a spray in bedliner. They requested and got permission from Daimler Chrysler and covered my whole floor with a spray in bedliner. Now I really don't care that it leaks because the floor won't rust out now. Indeed if you can't do this because it's not under warranty or you bought it used then I recommend you contact Chrysler directly since this is not an isolated problem. When it rains now I just remove the drain plug on that side, dry the rest with a towel and put the plug back in. If you find out where it's leaking afterall please let me know. I will send you pics of my interior if you like so you have an idea of what it will look like.

gary is a true Jeep owner. lol

I have this problem constantly, but that's because I usually have the doors off and just carry a cover around for emergencies (the usual 'unexpected' afternoon thunderstorm). The cover works okay most of the time, but tends to blow inward in strong winds.

Always an interesting surprise at night when you step into your Jeep and discover a 2 or 3 inch pool of water.

No solution at all, I know.

what body style/year jeep do you have? tj's had some seal problems, and some leaks the you could not fix. the new jk hardtops are absolutely horrible bout the tops leaking. we are water testing them coming off the truck. you can spend hours building up the brand new seals on them to not leak.

If you have the Wrangler X or Rubicon double check seal on roof. I have had a couple of my customers have a simular problem. If the roof is not properly sealed it will leak unnoticibly.

Are you positive its a body/seal leak? If your heater core is leaking it will leak on pass side of floor...heater core is in dash just above pass side feet area. Watch for water leak only when heater is on.
