I don't belong to any Organized Religion, by the way. Just in case you were about to call Buddhists (who are by far less angry than either of the two groups) arrogant or some equally as annoying a comment.

I'm not Buddhist. Most people assume that one who is neither Materialist nor Christian must be a Buddhist of some sort. But not me.

Maybe it might be people who write offensive, anti religion questions on a religion board.

Ugh. Materialist in what sense?

Materialist in the sense of someone who wants material goods above all else, well, that has little to do with religion and is a pretty stupid belief.

Whereas materialistic philosophy ie. "that which cannot be measured cannot be held to exist" is more rational than any other belief - in fact, the very fact that it is true is what powers the band gaps used in the microchips you are using to ask these questions.

A materialist is brainwashed by society and advertising.

A Christian's personal faith or beliefs do not necessarily affect their social life.

I doubt that the tenets of Buddhism would even present this question in the disrespectful way you have. Run along and play youngster and leave the thinking to grown-ups.
